Got to agree Scylla...after trying stainless dcs, I prefer the clear ones. Easy to see what the juice is doing. In fact, might put my new stainless ones up for swap for clear ones.

Lucy, you're not doing anything wrong by the sounds of it. I got some Kanger cartos, out of the 5 pack, I used 3. They each were full with liquid. First couple of draws nice. Then the burny taste. I don't think the liquid reaches the bottom of the cartos fast enough. As a concept, they should work ok...(coil at the bottom, liquid running down), but in reality, they don't. Though some people swear by them, so maybe there's a bad batch going about and we got the crap ones For cartos, I find the dual coils to be the best for flavour and hit, and no hint of any of that vile burny taste. The boge LR's are pretty decent as well.

Hi Lucy The prefilled one that I sent out to you was filled using the Griz Whiz. It's a handy little device that really gets the liquid through the cartomiser nice and evenly. I've not had any problems with the Kangers at all so can only think that you're not getting the first fill quite right and it's leaving dry pockets. As the others have said, if you get a dry burn from a cartomiser, you can't get rid of the burnt taste. Once the carto is nicely soaked, it's pretty faultless then and you just keep topping it up as and when required. Give me a ring tomorrow and we'll discuss it and see if we can come up with an easier option.

Thanks for all your help, guys. Jason and I spoke yesterday and I've sent my batteries and some of the cartos back to him so he can get down to the bottom of it. Even with my best detective skills, I failed and you don't know what you don't know, so I'll leave it to the professional. buckowski - I tried the boge normal ones and I nearly passed out sucking on them trying to get a good vape, but I might try the low resistance ones if it turns out that kanger and I aren't destined to be firm friends. Or the clear ones sound like a good idea too, scylla. Who knows, I'll see what Jason says once he can get down the bottom of what happened. It could be a combination of things but basically just all-round bad luck. I'm ridiculously cranky because I miss my riva and I sold my first e-cig to my brother in Peru, bah humbug. I converted my friend to the vapeside and she's going to help out but I don't see her til Thursday. In the meantime, don't so much as look at me the wrong way.

Jason and I had a chat, I sent out my stuff and he couldn't find a problem. Turns out there was nothing wrong, batteries fine, cartomisers well filled so it was just my tongue taking a funny turn, which doesn't happen often but it still happens to the odd few. I'll stick with my Kanger low resistance cartos as they're compatible with the Riva and they provide a nice hit so long as you don't press the button down for too long. He sent some different flavours back and I've been fine since, so I'm giving my cherry and menthols a rest for now. It's likely that it's due to the fact my sense of taste/smell will be returning after smoking cigarettes for so long, plus my family have quite keen shnozz's so I guess my taste is quite sensitive. Can't fault vapeescape in any way - Jason cares about his customers and is happy to help you with any problem solving, even if the problem is puzzling.

I love the kanger bottom coils there by far my fave to vape with. I fill via the condom method then leave for half an hour, then top off with a few drops.
Good luck
Nats x
