I've been vaping a while now.. Started with Riva 1100 and quickly moved onto the MVP v1 in that chase for nice taste and massive clouds.. All I seemed to get (this was all with EVODs or Kanger T3s as I never got on with vivi's or CEs) was one or 2 tanks of 'nice' vape then burnt taste and bleuch change the head... Thought I was perhaps going to high with the volts so always kept it low, as soon as I turned it up a little instant burnt head GRRR....
Fast forward a little bit and rather than give up I bought a Vamo v5 which came with the Aspire BDC.. NICE!! 2 tanks later (using in VW mode keeping at about err 6w) inevitably the burnt taste would come back.. Ok so I can dial the watts down and make the head last a bit longer but we're talking 3 maybe 4 days? And this was with a pure fruit ejuice mainly PG but when I could get it VG as I preferred the taste/hit. Got a nautilus after reading the reviews, loved the vape but either I got a load of dodgy heads or I'm definitely doing something wrong as couple of days down the line absolute horrible burnt taste... Ok no giving up as had given up the stinkies completely at this point.. (6 weeks last weekend! yay me!). Bought various juices from different places still the same outcome, bought an aerotank and it's a VERY nice vape very cloudy but only vaping at 4/5watts which sounds wrong when you watch all the reviews and they're running at 8/9watts (and yes massive clouds.. but I've given up on my cloud obsession) if I do that I know I'll get the burnt taste...
So after that short (sorry!) tale of woe... What am I doing wrong??? Only other thing I've tried is to keep the aerotank very airy which i can live with just, I'm trying to slowly build up the wattage from 4w one to get to about 6ish which gave a nice warm vape with a few of the juices I like a fair bit and secondly just to get the heads to last more than 2 days...

Are you letting your tanks run dry before you top up your liquid?

Yep, lal may have an idea, I try and keep my Tanks (they hold 3ml) above 1ml, and I "Swirl" my juice if I didn't Vape for a while. Also, if you have different Resistance Heads (oHms are usually printed on Heads) you would need to alter Volts to suit.

Yes I think that might be your problem, you should always keep the heads wet so don't lay them down ,upright is best.

There is a very low chance of all the different atomisers that you mentioned in the OP all having dodgy heads, so it might have something to do with either your setup or the way you use it. One thing comes to mind on top of the cautions above about keeping your heads wet (!) - long slow draws will enable your wicks to keep up with the demand of your atomiser head when it is vapourising the juice; I wonder if you are sucking too hard at the attie and it's running burnt because the head is starved of juice. Also low ohm heads work better on VW devices as the resistance is less, thus allowing more power through to your atomiser. It might be worth trying higher ohm rated heads in case this is the problem. It should only cost you a couple of quid to confirm or deny this possibility.

Morning, Well lal Phoenix . I generally top up before the tank is half empty (currently vaping Melon Boba as my ADV) also if it's been led down like it is at the moment on my desk at work it gets a good shake and what I think should be plenty of time to rewick with the walk from desk to "smoking area". Also keepitgoin I've got it set in VW mode and in the past the max has been 6watts.. Now as mentioned starting at lower wattage and building up. chykensa I've been wondering if it's the draw but I don't 'think' I suck any harder (!) ... Interesting about the comment on low ohms... Hmmm Now I've got the 2 different resistance heads for the Nautilus so I'll give them a try over the weekend..

Make sure you keep the connections nice and clean, especially the mod end As anything spoiling the connection will create a resistance reading to the Controll board, which will Then turn up the volts and could burn the coil/wick.

One other possibility unseen is that you are simply gunking up your coil heads - have you tried dry burning them? That will usually prolong their life a bit.
