Thanks for the tips.. I did realise that premixing will be watering it down slightly but for a first foray I thought the gamble might be worth it... So far vaping a mix of VV Energy at 15% that's only been in the bottle 2 days and it's not too bad if I dare say so!... The test will be Heisenberg as that's my usual ADV..
What I'm wondering next is assuming this all carries on well and I grab some nic from DS do most stick with concentrates of the stuff they prefer or will I end up wandering down the dark art of mixology trying to get a perfect copy of VV's Heisenberg? Not done the numbers yet but I would guess bottles of flavorings would last longer/cost less than a premade concentrate?
So true!!

So I've recently started mixing my own juices (well OK concentrates from VV!) using their premixed 30/70 6MG Base. Seems ok to get me started and been looking at getting an order in with darkstar before the evil people take it away and wanted to know which base is better to get Nic in? VG or PG? Personally I seem to like the higher VG mixes (hence the VV 30/70 premix sounded ideal!) but does that matter when it comes to the actual nic base?
Scales on order too... Syringes was just a bloomin faff!! (although my nurse wife was enjoying mocking my technique grrrr)

Having been stateside last month I had a couple of bottles of 10ml ejuice in the clear bag and just unscrewed the ecig. Coming back I had got some goodies from Good Life while out there so I just stuck them in the checked baggage. No issues at all with bottle sizes if it's checked in. I did forget to unscrew the atty from my Kbox on the way back and *ahem* did get a funny look from Mr TSA as it went through the scanner! And of course my bag got checked! YAY! But the chap was nice and actually asked where I got my ejuice from had to disappoint him and say that the bottles in my carry on were Heisenberg from the UK!
Oh and don't bother buying a fancy zip up clear bag like I did... On the way out at Manchester I had to quickly swap everything from that to the little plastic bags they were giving out! No idea why but it was a pain in the **** and I wasn't the only one caught out. Check with your airline but in that bag is meant to be max 1Litre and no bottle bigger than 100ml.

@djs Oh I know the power source won't affect flavour.. I picked up the Kbox as it was recommended as being more stable with power than the iLeaf, although in my experience I've not found that to be completely true but that could just be my unit.
The previous heads were both SSOCC one being the old and one being the new. Currently I've got a new SSOCC in actually and it's doing ok, no burn hits and flavour isn't too bad but got it in the topfill at the moment which I think gives a tighter draw compared to the Submini v1. May swap it over to the SubMini later see what the flavour is like in that with this head.
Previous to these SSOCC coils I was using the plain OCC 1.2Ohm heads which were doing brilliantly but occasionally (from B&M shops) become like the preverbial rocking horse... Although I wouldn't mind knowing where to pick heads up for £1.20!! I've even been keeping an eye out for the ceramic ones as a few things I read, they raved about the taste especially fruity based liquid

Hence the confused.. I've had coil/wick which have lasted a month/month and a half before going like this.. Odd but I'll try a new one, really need to have a go at using the Subtank RBA but thats a challenge for another day.
While I like the kbox with all this I've been looking and thinking about maybe getting another mod as a second/backup.. As I like the all-in-one of the Kbox/iLeaf looking at maybe the Coolfire 4 TC 100 or maybe a Tesla Nano if I can find one.

Would I be better starting on a fresh coil? Wonder if running this low for at least 2 weeks now might have knackered it...
Is the cleito any good or is this just a B&M trying to get a sale?

I've been vaping a while, got myself an iLeaf 40 and a Subtank Mini v1 and loved the flavours I was getting with a 1.2 Ohm coil, upgraded to a Kanger Kbox70 which carried on the flavour. Was out in the states last month and got a Kanger Topfill Mini and was a little hit and miss with the taste.. Wasn't sure if it was the new coil or the new airflow.. Went back to my usual subtank but with a .50 ohm and it's been really hit and miss.. I've not really followed the whole sub ohm so I could be doing this all wrong!! I usually vaped at 18w and go as high as 22w occasionally but never higher as that seemed to give burnt hits.. A local B&M shop has opened up I popped in and asked what he advised as maybe it was time for a change and he slated kanger completely which surprised me and recommended the Aspire Cleito. Anyone offer any words of wisdom? Am I doing this all wrong??? Currently vaping some juice from Good Life Vapours from the US and love the smell from the juice but the taste just doesn't seem to be there..

I'm getting mighty tempted to get a VTR... Is there anyway to tell if it's a V2 or V1 just by looking at it? Seen the deal TECC have going at the minute but when I emailed them if it was a v2 just got a standard mail back saying it was still on offer *sigh!*
How does it compare with a vamo v5? Especially for someone still getting his head around watts verses voltage...

Morning, Well lal Phoenix . I generally top up before the tank is half empty (currently vaping Melon Boba as my ADV) also if it's been led down like it is at the moment on my desk at work it gets a good shake and what I think should be plenty of time to rewick with the walk from desk to "smoking area". Also keepitgoin I've got it set in VW mode and in the past the max has been 6watts.. Now as mentioned starting at lower wattage and building up. chykensa I've been wondering if it's the draw but I don't 'think' I suck any harder (!) ... Interesting about the comment on low ohms... Hmmm Now I've got the 2 different resistance heads for the Nautilus so I'll give them a try over the weekend..

I've been vaping a while now.. Started with Riva 1100 and quickly moved onto the MVP v1 in that chase for nice taste and massive clouds.. All I seemed to get (this was all with EVODs or Kanger T3s as I never got on with vivi's or CEs) was one or 2 tanks of 'nice' vape then burnt taste and bleuch change the head... Thought I was perhaps going to high with the volts so always kept it low, as soon as I turned it up a little instant burnt head GRRR....
Fast forward a little bit and rather than give up I bought a Vamo v5 which came with the Aspire BDC.. NICE!! 2 tanks later (using in VW mode keeping at about err 6w) inevitably the burnt taste would come back.. Ok so I can dial the watts down and make the head last a bit longer but we're talking 3 maybe 4 days? And this was with a pure fruit ejuice mainly PG but when I could get it VG as I preferred the taste/hit. Got a nautilus after reading the reviews, loved the vape but either I got a load of dodgy heads or I'm definitely doing something wrong as couple of days down the line absolute horrible burnt taste... Ok no giving up as had given up the stinkies completely at this point.. (6 weeks last weekend! yay me!). Bought various juices from different places still the same outcome, bought an aerotank and it's a VERY nice vape very cloudy but only vaping at 4/5watts which sounds wrong when you watch all the reviews and they're running at 8/9watts (and yes massive clouds.. but I've given up on my cloud obsession) if I do that I know I'll get the burnt taste...
So after that short (sorry!) tale of woe... What am I doing wrong??? Only other thing I've tried is to keep the aerotank very airy which i can live with just, I'm trying to slowly build up the wattage from 4w one to get to about 6ish which gave a nice warm vape with a few of the juices I like a fair bit and secondly just to get the heads to last more than 2 days...

I can't get to my work emails at the moment... (Which I should be worried about as I look after those servers... ah well oncall's problem not mine!) but I think it took them 2 days to reply, with a promise that the missing item would be sent out. What got me was the tone of the email, as well as the missing item I asked what the colours meant on the reels that had been shipped. Got "it's on the website" but then they explained it. Funnily enough unless I'm looking in the wrong place I've just double checked and can't see any mention of colour = which wire. For a first time order from this particular company I'm not sure if I'll be ordering from there again first impressions and all that.... Shame as the prices are good and they had fairly good write ups.

I used to buy quite a lot from LF... Infact I got one of my colleagues into vaping due to us being able to nip there in a lunchbreak and grab some goodies...
The next time I went there, knowledgeable staff had gone and if you didn't want XO juices or the stuff you can pick up at a Bargain Booze your buggered "Oh you can order online" *sigh* Shame as it really was easy to just pop there for spare heads and batteries... Don't get me started on them killing off their original range as XO blueberry is just NOT the same...
