the best thing is i got some inportant documents comeing to me and its only from preston it near blackpool and its only 2 hours from me in a car and its been 3 days and it still isnt here i think even with my dodgy legs i could walk it in 3 days lol they have ut there price up but its still the same bad service

(watch it come in the post today now i am slagging them off lol )

Fair enough I suppose, but by Nature I tend to be a pesimmist.  that way if anything does go wrong I can always say " I told you so". If on the other hand everything works out fine, then I can be pleasantly suprised.

Can't be important to whoever is sending them or they would have payed for a guaranteed delivery.
Do you think that 60 million bits of post are sorted at the post box? Local post sorting died years ago. If you post a letter to your next door neighbour, in a post box outside your house, it has as much chance of delivery next day as one going across the country. Unless you live on Waltons mountain.
In a world of increasing remote selling, giving the Royal Mail away is madness. A short term cash boost at best. What remains will be sold to the Germans or the Dutch.

Without getting too geeky, the only items you'll get from T&T are those that companies or individuals have paid them to pick up/process/deliver.  Everything else will be delivered by your postie.

Yep, my dad works in the mail industry, there are a few companies taking up business mail now, ukmail and TNT are two, can't remember the others.

last week I received a housing association letter and then 20 minutes later a letter from eon. I thought it was odd because i would of thought one of postal services would of stop delivering bills but hey its wishful thinking on my part.

I suppose competition can only make things better (according to the news) although I been very happy with Royal Mail

I know Tony my postie quite well - I know what his missus does (also a postie!), where he goes on holiday, what his grandchildren are called, and many other items of trivia. He will always stop for a chat, which might explain why he's not been yet at 15.10!!
