i am right pithed off

I had to go to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) near Berwick Northumberland on Friday

it was supposedly for 5-7 hours to repair something very very important for the safety of the island and its visitors I am not allowed to say more on what it was but it is important that they have it back up and running as soon as possible  

I was looking forward to having this fixed early so I went to work 2 hours early as I wanted to get back home as soon as possible to drive down to Newquay for the long weekend

When I got there and seen the damage there had been a fire my heart sank there was a board with over 90,000 components on that is totally damaged I have literally been trying my hardest to get the safety back for the island I have soldered over 9000 resisters 700 intergrated circuits 4500 capacitors 300 rheostats literally 1000s of wires and I have just started to get the circuits to spring back to life

I am bl**dy annoyed as I cannot leave the island until the apparatus is up and running and I cannot see that being before Wednesday even though I am working on it 16 hours a day

On a funnier side because I am there there is about 120 security guards on the island and 1 told me I wasn't allowed to vape so I stuck my soldering iron in his hand and told him to fix the board he soon changed his mind 

So I am fed up no time to get board and security have just give me a funny look so I had better get back to work

surely there was a NHA option for the repair if the damage was so extensive?

feal yer pain man had similar probs on sight ,sellafield could understand there but carpet right no hot work or ladders in the car park hummmm ok how would you like me to fit your 40 odd fork lifts with cameras fairy dust and chewing gum
some peps are dumb and some peps are awkward its when you get both together is fun

no options the boards cost thousands to be manufactured so they are only made as required they wont get the replacement board now until October I know I phoned and checked so it is another trip down here to fit when that comes but that is only a couple of days



keep looking for things to try and amuse myself but I am not allowed to move far they even bring me my food so I don't have to stop working they would have me working 24 hours a day if they could



I am on the most religious Island in the country and guess what they give me to eat on Good Friday

I have already told them I want the time off that I have had to work here so that I can still come to Cornwall asap but I will come for a week instead of a weekend I need to visit a vape shop and my new found friends in Cornwall if you need any extra lighting or sockets moving I can do them whilst I am there zeldamum I will be there when I can get the time off it will be a mini-meet

Oh no ronaldo, what a PITA. As zeldamum says, I hope you are getting lots of overtime for this job!! I've just handed Zelda my Vamo and some juice for tasting tomorrow, so you will have to try some when you finally get down. Just make sure it isn't over the first BH as I'm in the Scillies with my girls who are rowing for the World Championships.

That is a very kind offer which you may live to regret ronaldo. There are actually a couple of things which need doing.

I have no plans for going anywhere I'm a sad muppet.

Seriously just let us know when you can come down and we will arrange a vape meet and that goes for anyone who plans to visit Cornwall.

Holy Island is a lovely place and I have seen a few idiots driving along a flooded causeway there chassis isn't going to last long

I have tried the Lindisfarne mead what a disappointment it costs a fortune I think I paid about £8 for a standard wine bottle and it tasted of pure sugar absolutely disgusting I daren't drink anything else on the island in case that is the standard around here I am having to drink bottled water and I don't like water out of a bottle

I wont regret anything I am a fast but methodical worker I rewired my entire house new fuse board new cable every socket switch and ceiling rose in under 4 hours

that is a understatement I have just had to tell a security guard to go forth and multiply as he was getting in the way all the time and making the job take forever

I just keep vaping and he dosent like it

£2 is not a problem mate keep delivering them papers we will get there

And the pubs there sell a very decent pint!

Take a break for 15 minutes and go sit by the shore, breath deeply, and then go for a drink....
