Hi all,
Just wondering - my brand new vision spinner (1300mah) seems to be getting quite warm when I try to turn up the voltage. Is this normal?

Hi all,
Just wondering - my brand new vision spinner (1300mah) seems to be getting quite warm when I try to turn up the voltage. Is this normal? Depends how hot and where misst. All pv's do tend to get hot at the top but not to hot to touch.

I'm currently using mine misst and after a few long drags, the Protank on top is warming up. As Roscopecotrain says, if it's getting warm on the battery itself, then you should exercise caution, but if it's just the atomiser, that's normal.

Like folks above have said, its normal for the atty/clearo to get warm. Just what do you use at the moment and at what resistance?

Thanks for replies folks! I've got a mini protank 2 with erm... 2.4ohm coil in.. I think. The spinner's on 4.3. No sign of burnt taste, slightly metallic if anything. It's the very top of the battery and the metal bits that sit under the glass bit that's getting warm. I was a bit worried because this is where the leaking comes from, if it happens (tho thankfully it seems to be behaving atm). I can see the odd air bubble appearing as I vape tho. Can anything drastic happen? I'm not going to blow myself up am I?

No, misst, that all sounds normal. The coil at 4.3ohm is getting quite hot, and that heat has to go somewhere! The air bubble is quite normal too, it's just air replacing the juice you've used. I don't use Mini Protanks, but someone here might be able to help you with the leakage issues you've got; they shouldn't ever leak. Is yours the one which is fully disassemble-able (is that a real word!?)? If it is, then there might be an O-ring not quite seated properly which is causing the seepage.

Lmao Or in my case disassemble-a-bubble?? I guess that could apply to Ally Sheedy in the bath too for that matter? Well, in djs's head anyway lol Next time something goes pearshaped in the leakage department I'll check the o rings chykensa. Tank is still behaving atm so I don't dare touch anything - just vaping while I can! Hehehe Thanks everyone for all the sage advice!
