I'm afraid I won't be much use to you beeper in passing on my comments, as I'm still a pretty new vaper still working out my personal preferences and don't have much of a clue about all the technical stuff. What I can say is that there is no sign of button rattle at all on my device and as a newb to anything other than egos and spinners, it seems very easy to use. It feels lovely to hold in the hand, very ergonomically pleasing. On the practical side, I'm impressed with the spring loaded pin and stainless steel 510 thread and feel more confident that I'm not going to over tighten and break something as a result. I like the fact that you can lock the buttons to what you set it to so it won't get changed by mistake. It also looks as though when I move on to bigger tanks in the future (I'm using mini protank 2s and nature vape minis at the moment) that they will fit nicely on it thanks to the extra room they've added to the top. I find the display nice and bright so far but only used indoors so not sure about bright sunlight. I chose this battery because I wanted to try a variable wattage device, and this seemed to have a lot of improvements over the last incarnation, which I was admiring at the vapemeet I went to. I also needed something that lasted longer than an ego but wasn't too big and heavy. I am wondering if this particular battery might be a little over powered for me, but then I'm still learning about the effects different wattages and coil resistances make to the vaping experience. My main aim at the moment is to find a set up I can happily chug on and learn how to tackle the problems that come up easily and quickly. This battery seems well made, I'm hoping it'll be reliable and easy enough to use that I don't have to reach for a manual every time I want to change something. I can't really comment on the power settings being off target as, although I've researched it a little, I still don't understand what the issue is all about. I've also seen a lot of reviewers talk about sub ohming, which is also beyond my understanding and experience at the moment - you can do it with this thing tho, apparently! I hope that helps a little.

Hello all,
I just ordered an istick 30w from myepack
I want to use my mini protank 2s with it, but as they have ego threading, will I need an ego to 510 adapter of some sort to make them compatible? I've ordered an airflow controller thingy hoping that would do the trick, but I can't tell from the pictures on myepack .
Thanks for any advice

Without AAE-C I wouldn't have attempted my first social get together in over 3 years! Ok so it went belly up at the last minute and I couldn't go... buttttt without this forum I would never even have tried. I would never have known that anything better than cigalikes even existed. I would have struggled to find juice. I would have lost interest. I would have had nothing to read for months!! I wonder how many more people there are who don't feel confident enough to fully join in, but who visit here every day and get entertained and informed and get vicariously involved with the lovely community here, like I do. (Ugh, that sounds a bit creepy - I promise it's not meant that way!) for everyone involved in making AAE-C the great place it is!

gill2009 if you get dropped off at Straighton Park and Ride opposite the retail park, the 47 Lothian bus goes from there to Salisbury Place (very near Scotch Hop) every half hour. There's shelter and seats at Park and Ride if the weather's unkind. Journey takes about 20 mins. When you get off the bus, go in the direction the bus came from and take the first road right at the crossroads, into Salisbury Place. There's building work going on on the opposite side of the street along here, big blue tunnel peeps have to walk through under the scaffolding. At the end of the road there's another crossroads with a converted church, now a lighting shop. Scotch Hop is 2 doors along Just don't get tempted to 'pop into' Ikea at the retail park- peeps have been known to go in there and never come out... I speak from experience!

I was just thinking, would it be a good idea to have a thread, perhaps a sticky somewhere, where people could list venues that they've found that accept vapers?
We have members from all over, and say if someone was going on holiday or away for business and didn't know the area, they could look up vape friendly places and know there wouldn't be a problem there.
I know the thing to do in most circumstances if just to ask if it would be ok, but some people might be a bit shy in that regard! (Me, for one!) Also, new vapers might find others who vape more easily in a social setting and not feel so self conscious, and therefore more likely to feel encouraged rather than put off.
I thought I'd ask what people thought here first rather than just start a thread, as I don't go out much and haven't actually been anywhere where I can vape yet!
Actually, thinking about this as I type, what would be better to access would be a map, similar to the one we use for showing locations of members. As we already have the technology as it were, for a map, that might be easier to implement and not too much extra work for admin?
I'd be happy to offer my services, such that they are, for inputting data as it comes in? Unless it could be accessed by individuals somehow, as new places were found, to add to the map as we go?
Or maybe it could be a regional database?
Just a thought. What do you think? Got legs?

Went on my recce yesterday to Scotch Hop, all went well, bus easy from my place, places to munch nearby if we get peckish, nice quiet place - good choice taz96!
My only difficulty was understanding the (really nice) barman when I went to pay for our drinks! I tend to have English/blonde/senior moments with people with strong Scots accents sometimes, even after having lived here for almost 7 years! I might need to ask one of you to translate for me when it comes to paying the bill haha!
Roll on Saturday!
Oh forgot to say, I'll be aiming to get to the pub for 12.15 - 12.30ish as I'll have to go straight there. Looking forwards to meeting you all!
