These are of the Big Daddy mod by Snaggletooth. This one is fixed at 5v. These are the Trio mod by Deejay and it you can change the voltage using the dip switches. Here is his description:- Trio BoxMod. The aim was to make a compact and simple to use multi voltage device. The idea stems from the 5v regulated boxmods out there but with the ability to do lower voltages too. The box has a small switch box inside offering three regulated voltage options, marked 1,2,3 so you know exactly what voltage you are vaping without the need for a digital display and dial. Circuit design was a bit of a headache, but it works really well. Features: 3 Regulated voltage settings 3.7v - 4.2v - 5.0v Native 510 Runs on 2 x 14500 batteries No voltage dropout under load. Interesting, which does River have? Which are you ordering? Do they seem strange to hold?

Interesting, which does River have? Which are you ordering? Do they seem strange to hold? River has both. I've ordered one of each because at £35 each they are a good backup. Surprisingly, they felt quite good to hold. Especially the Big Daddy one. One was actually £32.50, can't remember which. I normally stick with 5v on the Provari. Anything higher starts to taste burnt. Expecting mine today or Monday.

Been just looking at both pics, showing my hubby, certainly good value for money, only draw back for a female is the look, its not shiny lol is that a woman thing. I think they are definately worth thinking about, especially at that price. Let me know Bel and Steve how you get on with them. You both are in an ideal position gor someone like me, you have the GG's, Provari, these mods, Screwdriver etc Do you have the Super T Precise as well? I quite fancy that as well, it looks nice :-)

Oh yes he loves his gadgets Right postie has jus delivered his mods, havent tried them yet but have held them. The little one, is very box like and i don't like the feel in my hand, not very girly at all. The big daddy is longer and more curved, feels much nicer to hold, if i had to pick i'd go for this one. Im sure once Steve has tested them he will let you know what they vape like

Now, if the Trio mod looked like the Big Daddy, i'd buy one too, but i hate the look of the square box mods, i think i'd find the runtime with 14500's frustrating too...
what about safety with these Steve?, i've got used to devices i can lock, with vent holes as well, altho if you've not actually selected a voltage on the Trio, it looks like it'd be off?

The Trio has a separate on/off switch on the outside. It also has three vent holes. With the dip switches you can set it to 3.7v, 4.2v or 5v. I would not have bought these from any old modder though. But Snaggletooth and Deejay are two of the most well known modders out there. I've had another one of Snaggletooths mods for some time and never had any problems. The big daddy one is fixed at 5v which is all I use on the Provari anyway. The only down side so far is that it does not have an on / off switch. Bel didn't like the LED being on the top either, it shines in your eyes when you use it. A bit of black electrical tape solves that one I bought these as backup devices in case anything happens to the Provari.

I had the Big Daddy. You don't really need a locking switch as you have to press the button all the way down for it to fire. Does'nt need vent holes either as it is not sealed where the batteries are fitted. Well worth the money, only sold mine to make way for a provari. (standard resistance 901's are a delight on this for flavour)

the box mods are smaller than they look but for me they just arnt pretty ...if someone could find or make a stainless steal box with rounded edges then they would have a winner on their hands IMO
