Some of the ones from FT need a full strip-down and scrub with tooth paste, the last one I had from them seemed to have a rust spot that even tooth paste wouldn't shift and had to use metal polish. I have had lumps of geese in the drip tip as well. Also non stainless terminal screws can give a nasty flavour.

I gave my Russian clone from FT a good soak in warm/hot water with a few drops of washing up liquid, and left it soaking for an hour. Then rinsed it out thoroughly with loads of very warm water, and a good dry with kitchen towel. My advice is bin the coil it came with, and have a go building your own, the Kayfun/Rusian is so forgiving, and easy to work on as the deck is uncluttered and high up. I won't go into detail but have a look at Super-Shiny's excellent guide on how to set up a Kayfun. You can find a link to it underneath his forum signature. Let us know how you get on

If you put some juice on the wick when you build it it's more or less ready to vape. Cover the air hole with your finger and dry pull a couple of times and that helps soak them. No waiting needed
