How many wraps of .25 kanthal would give me 1.4ohms nano

Hi there , want to use a nano coil in a protank 2 could anyone on here tell me how many wraps of .25 kanthal would give me between 1.2 ohms and 1.5 ohms
don't fancy wasting loads of wire because running a bit short.

Have a play on this downloadable program that works all possibilities out for you. Does single coils and microcoils. click on microcoil and adjust inside diameter for nano coils. nanocoils are anything less than 1mm, it depends on what you wrap the wire around on.
Once downloaded, click on the union jack for english.
Its very near to actual results.

I think you mean micro coil for protank

approx 5 wraps around a 2mm drill or 6 around a 1.5mm drill bit

tried 3 times now and it just reads 0.065 ohms odd time it goes to 1.4ohms .....thought theese things were easy to recoil any idea what im doing wrong

Sounds like a short. I haven't got a protank but speaking from similar happenings on evods and nova coils that the coil might be touching the sides or the coil is moving about being to loose. Try and slightly squeeze the ends of the coil without squashing it, like all the vids show.
Its trial and error but you soon get the hang of it.

Someone with experience of coiling a protank will have the answers soon.

Make sure both your leads are clipped flush to the base, and also male sure yoir coil is not able to touch the metal inside. Sounds like the latter because it does read correct intermittently. The coils moving around inside the head basically and im talkimg aload ofbeer fuelled giberish so im going to shut up
