They have updated there TV guide but it has become very slow,when you scroll down to a programme it can take up to 20 seconds to give you the details,is it just my box or does it affect all.

I'm out of contract and footy season is nearly over so i may do the same or renegotiate,any tips on how to get them to reduce price.

Be very clear that you want to cancel, and stick to your guns until they offer something good. One year they took me at my word, Mr K and DS were furious. A few days before it was due to be cut off they phoned up and offered us a really good deal.

Mine seems okay Yorkshireman. It did cancel my recording of Hinterland last night when it upgraded and I had to reconnect it to the router this morning but it seems fairly quick to use. Not used it enough to tell whether it is an improvement yet though.

In a word.... get rid of sky and get itunes and a crochet hook and some small furries (ratties) way way cheaper so more money for shinies

When I cancelled they had already been informed by BT that I was changing broadband suppliers. The bloke on the phone was furious I hadn't approached them first for a discount. Apparently I could have had my monthly payments reduced from £80 to £45 due to my loyalty. I pointed out had they done that before sending out my last bill I may not have been cancelling. Its for the customer to approach them cap in hand for a discount rather than them to offer it according to the bloke.

Cancelled it 3 months later phoned on new deal, but watch it after that yr they increase it to normal rate,so we decided after looking at it was it worth it, we have freesat and freeview,so basic sky few extra and all they have done is repeat everything,then fun began....went to our account filled in our cancellation request then got hit with many calls "we need account holder to speak to us to confirm wit there password" uhhhmmmmm no you dont,signed in our account on sky.com and done it even emailed them,customer service chat box to,still bombarded with calls and emails,in end had to block them....if you do cancel cancel DD to,ended up with 2 bank charges

With both Sky and Talk Talk we have told them that we are being made homeless so are moving in with friends. DDs cancelled too, so don't envisage any problems.
It's annoying though that you have to make things up. Both companies asked if my 'friends' would want their service, the new tenants or just put my accounts on hold.
I ended up saying 'look, I haven't got time for this, I don't care what you are going to say next I'm still going to say I'm cancelling'

We called them and said we wanted to cancel because Virgin were cheaper and it included BT sport, which we wanted for the motoGP. They soon made it cheaper for us Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards
