hi im new to vaping. So new that im still a smoker! ive been considering e-cigarettes for a while and I received an email from an e-cig company addressed "Dear smoker". It directed me to their site with really big discounts.

is this legal ie how do they know im not a kid?

how do they know im a smoker!!?? (Even my dad doesn't know!!)

are their products / deals genuine? I've heard theres lots of cheap & nasty stuff about - thy say their stuff is Hangsen which I googled and saw is Chinese...that worried me!

They're called futurvape.co.uk - I would be really grateful if anyone could give me guidance - there's just so many websites that Im really confused.

also are there any special bars etc that vapers meet up? I live in North London

hi and welcome champ1248 - have not heard of future vape - which does not mean much, as there are so many vendors out there - as far as I know they are not a forum approved vendor - but googled them quickly and their prices seem to be ok.

maybe they got your email from facebook or you serving the net .

Hangsen is Chinese - but it's decent quality liquid - a lot - if not most - of the batteries or atomizers are from China - it was after all a Chines who invented the current electronic cigarette - so there is nothing to worry about it - a lot of forum mebers even buy from China - it takes a while but it's cheap - I persoanlly prefer uk vendors.

ok - first of all- do you have already an e cig - if not have a look here for the starter kits - get yourself a few liquids from myepack as well - btw - dekang and Hangsen are more less the same - they were one company once - then split
and then have a look here for more liquids -
and then ask more questions - this is the best place ever to start vaping - we will help you on your journey

Obviously they are spamming you, maybe you clicked on something/somewhere and this flagged you up as interested in e-cigs.

Legality, to be honest I don't think they've done anything particularly illegal although I do not welcome unsolicited emails.

Their goods are pretty standard fare, nothing special, not the best but not the worst.

Their *cough* discounted prices bring them to around what other vendors charge, nothing special, there are cheaper out there, there are more expensive out there, you should certainly pay no more than their discounted prices.

The e-cig market is flooded with "clones" some are good some are shoddy, you protect yourself by buying from a reputable supplier and by recommendation, that's where we can certainly help you if you wish to make a purchase. We've made the mistakes and are proud to help anyone that wants to give up the stinkies.
Genuine is a hard thing to define in the ecig market.

Hangsen is a major supplier of liquids and definately does some very good and popular ones, do not be put off that it is manufactured in China, most e-cig & liquids are or use Chinese manufactured ingredients or components.

There are regular vape meets, just have a look in the vape meets section on this forum.

Definitely have a look around the forum in the beginners section and ask as many questions as you need. To be honest, I read back through my first post on here, and a spam email from an ecig company is what led me to research and led me here. There is a london meet which takes place regularly too

All good advice above, They ( the site you mentioned) sound like one of the many springing up nowadays. Nothing against them, but you will find well tried and recommended sites on here.

In answer to your original question "are cheap deals what they seem?" Well yes they are just that.... cheap. This does not make them a good deal however.

Take your time have a browse around on here and ask if you need any advice, it's all free.
