A decent 2 A charger will charge VTC4 3-4 times faster than a nitecore, EG Xtar SP2 and not a Efest LUC4. Even a 1 A like Xtar VP1 would be quicker. Wont that also shorten the overall lifespan of the cell too? It's really down to heat. The hotter the cells get, the shorter their life. Reckon on 3-500 full cycles or 3 years in general for 18650 cells. The higher the discharge rate (heat) and the higher the charge rate (heat) the shorter the life. The sort of high-amp cells we are talking about are designed round higher discharge rates so are unlikely to be negatively affected by the discharge rates vapers use. I'd put in a vote for the LG HE2 18650s - behave essentially the same as VTC4 cells and a bit more capacity. They hold their voltage better on heavy discharge and have more usable capacity IMO than the VTC4s. Most of my atomisers are between 0.5 and 0.2 ohms. I'm not going lower till I get a reliable resistance tester that can accurately measure hundredths of an ohm.

They have been developed to operate at higher currents and I think I remember someone saying that charging at low current would reduce their life span.
