How do you join NR to R?

This is possibly a really stupid question, but how do you join NR wire to R wire?

I have been messing about with coiling, inspired by trying a naturevape coil. I got some premade coils from fasttech but they aren't as good as the naturevape one. I did some excellent micro coils using kanthal, they vape just as well as the naturevape coils BUT I can taste warm plastic/rubber. I have tried different "bungs", it isn't a burnt rubber taste but I can taste the plastic. I did some blind tests and I'm sure it isn't in my head.

I seem to have a more sensitive sense of taste than many, preferring low flavour percentages. I also tend to vape at around 6.5watts, so I'm not exactly overheating things.

I know I can make a coil like the naturevape ones, but only if I know how to make my own NR/R wires at a decent thickness. (can't find anywhere that sells them premade that are thick enough)

You can splice them with a Zapper from Mev or using Dee's pictures;

When I first got my Penelope the only way to join NR/R was to twist the ends together which was fiddly but worked fine. Some people use jewellery crimps, or the zapper.

Fasttech and Grey Haze both sell pre-made but maybe not thick enough for your requirements.

Maybe someone with a zapper and some time might offer to make you a few to your specs?

The video is great, but not sure I can fit such a large join into a protank coil set up?

Please translate ... Zapper from Mev?

Maybe if I upped my nic level my brain would fire quicker

grey haze doesn't say how thick the wire is

fasttech does but that just tells me it isn't what I want

I have one of Mevs zappers and it's a doddle to use if you're welding the same size wires together, a lot more challenging if you need thinner nr and thicker r. Using 0.25 of each wire for an Evod/protank head is a doddle dragon

If you go for a zapper I'd recommend you go for version 2 with the display

Looks like a great device, but I can buy enough premade coils from naturevape for the same money to last me for ages and with less fear of electrocuting myself

I'm learning a lot with experimenting though
