10 second cut off?

While out shopping today, I put my Itaste VV V3 in the side pocket of my handbag, normally I turn it off first, but obviously didn't this time.  Tucked my handbag under my arm, (side pocket facing towards me) after about 10 minutes felt a warm feeling under my arm, took my Itaste out of my bag and it was boiling hot as was the attached iclear 16, it was pretty much full charge when I went out but was flashing red now and had a lot of juice leaking out 

Shouldn't the 10 second cut off feature have cut in and turned the devise off?

Now home -  I have fully charged it and all working fine...phew

I think it just cuts out after 10 seconds until button released. So in theory you could have does this repeatedly and unknowingly.

Good news all is well now though

Good point, perhaps I had the button pressed on constantly as it was pressing again the side of me so cancelling out the cut off feature.
Thanks, I love my Itaste and would have been sad if it was broken
