I use a Protank II, and every now and then I notice juice around the battery pin. A few minutes ago I had no taste when I tried to vape, and sure enough, when I took the Protank II off, the battery pin was surrounded with juice. I have now disassembled the Protank II and it is soaking in soapy warm water for a clean. So I thought I ask before I assemble it again. Is it normal?

Also make sure you screw the head in fully, sometimes juice can get under the head base.

Or perhaps something better than a Protank 2 which doesn't cost the earth? The iClears are too thirsty for my liking.

The entire Protank. The only thing which I have changed on a regular basis are the coil units (I guess they are what you are referring to). I've just put a new one in, and it leaks.

You may have lost an O ring somewhere.
I have about 10 Protanks and have never had one leak unless it was not screwed together properly.

I didn't think you'd have a year old atomizer head/coil unit.... (same thing) If it leaks with a fresh coil unit, then something has happened to it. Protanks will sometimes leak, but leaking immediately on a new coil is bad news. I am getting one tomorrow and will have a close look at the design. Are your replacement coils genuine Kanger ones?

The top of the battery pin is wet, seems that the juice is coming through between the base thread and the head. I'll disassemble and re-assemble everything again.

The coil heads just seem to be badly made form the start but a recoil and rewick seems to cure them, the lady has the same style in the evod and I've managed to suss it out now, never leaks, gurgles or anything.

A recoil should sort out the PT, and make sure everything is well tightened up before filling. Must admit that my experiences with Protanks are largely excellent, with no leaks or gurgles, but maybe I've just been lucky. I now have PT v1s with microcoils and cotton wool wicks as backups (how louche is that!?), and I know they will deliver if required.

The lady has had a load of bother with the evod and so have the other people I recommended them to, now I'm recoiling them all. I'm still not sure whether it's the wick or the coil that's the problem originally but hey ho, got the cure anyway.
