Ego-T Questions

So - I now have an Ego-T 1000mAh PV and had a couple of questions for those of you who may have some experience of these PVs.

1. Would I be correct in assuming this is a type A tank? How can I determine this from looking at the atty?

2. I think that I can, but is this suitable for LR attys, and where would I get these from?

3. If the atty/tank size is closely related, as I expect it may be, I assume that I will not be able to interchange the small tank with the larger atty, but what about the other way around?

I also have a charger from a Genesis 510 PV (4.2v 140mA output) - would it be safe to charge the Ego-T 1000 with this USB adapter?

Hi Paul

Type A Atomisers are cone shaped and Type B are cylindrical.

You can use either standard or low resistance on your eGo-T.

Each atomiser has it's own tank cartridge (cone shaped (A), Cylindrical (B))

you can use that charger but it will take about 3 times longer than an ego one that is rated at 420mA

Hmmm - leaky tanks are bloody annoying, aren't they?

I have tanks with the hard plastic caps - while the hole punches correctly, the juice leaks out everywhere. I've definitely inserted the tank fully, and have even tried the twist trick (to move the 'chad' out of the way), but to no avail.

Are the silicone caps any good, and does anyone know a UK supplier if they are? Or is there something I can do to improve my vaping experience?

I didn't get on too well with the silicone caps when I used them Paul, they didn't wick well enough for me . . . I much prefered the hard caps and didn't have any problems with them leaking.

Maybe you've just got a rogue one there and if you tried another it would be better?

I stock the silicone capped ones Paul, but like Perpy, I personally prefer the hard caps.

If you use the silicone ones, you've got to be careful not to leave them on the spike (rotate them as you remove the cartridge and always wait until the atomiser has cooled down).

Did the cartridges come with the atomisers?

Because, there are that many manufacturers making them now that there are slight differences in size sometimes.

I have both the ones that came with the EGO-T, and some more that I purchased separately, and have sadly had the same result with both.

So far, while the draw with the silicone cap is tougher, I'm still getting a reasonable amount of vapor without any leaks - which for today is a result (wasted the best part of 10ml of juice today ).

So - if the hard caps are that good, what is the best way to 'mount' them? I've been pushing down vertically into the atty so far.

You're doing nothing wrong by the sound of it Paul.

Push them down firmly, until you get a click and then rotate to open up the hole.

Tanks and Tank Atomisers are sometimes great and sometimes a nightmare. My advice would be to try a cartomiser at some time. At least with them, you won't be wasting 10ml of juice.

In the meantime you can always cut down one of the cartridges and drip 2-3 drops straight down onto the atomiser spike. Just use the cut down cartridge as a mouthpiece and you should then get plenty of vapour and flavour.

Not ideal, but an option

Ah, I've got your mark now Paul

I had to sub a couple of your carts actually because when I opened the latest delivery, the suppliers had sent smokey brown instead of black. But, there's a note in explaining and you should have them today - RM Permitting.

If I'd have known, I would have stuck a Kanger in as well to try. Suffice to say that if you like the Boge, you should like the Kanger more (seems to be the consensus anyway).

Yeah - the Kanger's are pretty good. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the Boge, and thought that my Kanger purchase was going to be a dud - fat chance! They're pretty good in the flavour department.

One smallish issue I've found - they do not last as long as the Boge. I guess I'll need to carry some juice with me (both carto's have now run out - and I have the rest of the day to go!!!)
