In the near future (once we move) we are looking to have a new Kitchen fitted out, we don't want anything too fancy and neither do we want something to cheap looking. Gonna take a guess at the size of the kitchen and say it won't be massive.....more along the lines of 25ft long by 15ft wide Got around £6000 saved so far for it and this includes fitting as i cannot be ars*d to do it Any recommendations you know of for good suppliers and fitters? or any bad experiences you have had with a well known supplier and fitter Been reading not so bad things with Homebase compared to B&Q

I had a b&q kitchen about 8 years ago and was really impressed. I would try and find a local kitchen fitter tho rather than using the suppliers fitters....I've known fitting costing as much as the hardware!!

Howdens maybe and someone local to fit? Just had a look and very nice indeed, also got some good reviews regarding quality, might be cheeky and get them to do all the measuring and supply of the goods and give the measurements to a local fitter

Won't you have a posh fancy kitchen in line with EU rules if you are in social housing Super-Shiny... My kitchen was ok but not fab but about 5 or 6 years ago the council upgraded it. Loads more cupboards (which I got to choose) and work surfaces and new lino floor . Took 5 weeks (very stressful) but well worth it

best ting i can suggest is to get quotas and ask to see there work in someones home(rem they will only take you to somewhere they did a good job but it gives you an idea of what they can do)

Howdens maybe and someone local to fit? I had a Howdens Kitchen fitted about 3 years ago after a flood done on the Insurance, though I paid about £1000 to have a few extras. I am very pleased with the results and look of the kitchen.

Howdens supplied my friends kitchen. She lives in Bury Lancashire and the Council use them, she even had a choice of which one she wanted from the Howdens catalogue(obviously not the mega expensive ones). It looks very smart.

Howden kitchens are good quality I had one fitted last year in one of the properties I rent out - Then just a couple of months ago, I bought another buy to let house & had put in a cheaper B&Q kitchen - I think they both look good but I would say that the Howard's one is better quality.
