Hi all. I am currently vaping several tester tanks with a microcoil and cotton wick at 1.8 ohms. I usually get a good throat hit with standard coils at that resistance but with the micro and cotton seem to get little throat hit, am I doing something wrong? i tried a naturevape coil once but it was too low at 1.4ohms so gave that away, I found the vape too warm, can't remember what the hit was like though

It would depend what your watts or volts setting is I think Mrsmac. Turn your mod up a bit, if that is an option, and you should get a better vape.

Will give that a go, thanks. That's if my juice can handle it as it prefers 7 watts to my palate, however, maybe that has changed now that it is a slightly different set up, will give it a go!

It may be that your wicks are not feeding to juice at the right rate, Too slow and you get a burning, to much and they tend to boil and spit instead of vapourising. If it's the latter then higher power will/should work even better.

Turned it up a notch and they seems to be helping and so far the juice still tastes good thanks guys.
Didn't think that different wicks may need different power!

Wicking speed and power go hand in hand, That's what Rebuildables are all about, step one is learning to make a good coil, Step two, which is far more important is making a good wick. Matching the wicking speed to the power you want to apply is the advanced class And the sky is the limit power wise........

Dam right markm, I'm getting into sub ohms with the drippers and managing ridiculous numbers like 0.1-0.2 ohms and still getting a cracking vape on a mech with the sony vtc's. You'd think it would just be to hot but it's not, especially if you get the balance right between coil and wick.
