Well there has been a rapid turn around now, 'They' are now saying that using e-cigs will help smokers to stop and is better for you than cigarettes. This may have something to do with the earlier report that Sheisha? bars are rapidly opening in Leicester and Nottingham, and were slated as being worse that cigs and unhealthy and they share the bodily function of salivia by passing it around their friends. I must admit I was in total ignorance that these bars were here, but then I don't get out much these days. 'They'must have decided that e cigs were better than these bars and they will be on the 'hit' list now! What is your opinion on this report?

Phoenix . - there are going to be reports after reports & the headline will be "Are e-cigarettes better for you than real cigarettes?" and you'll get "yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, no, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes" and guess which answer they'll focus on?

Steve your dad has a point. Ecigs are the devices and vaping is what you do with them.

Just seen this reported on BBC News. Still calling for regulation tho. I don't mind regulation so long as they don't spell it T-A-X I think they know that if they do try and regulate it too harshly we'll all become underground vapers. Also from what I've seen of Sheisha it's still tobacco.

Little rant time about these reports. What annoys me about the reports is that the picture is usually of those (to me) crappy e-cig lookalikes. At least the pic. on the BBC site had the much better battery and CE4/5 type of 'tank' which I think is more representative of normal use. They never seem to point out that e-juices can be had with ZERO nicotine, so not everyone uses liquids with nicotine in them. Then there are the ingredients where it hardly seems to point out that there usually about 4 items or 3 if nicotine free. When in Boots Chemist I had a look at the NHS type of aids to stop smoking. There is chewing gum. Lozenges. Mouth sprays. Nasal sprays. Patches. Tablets. Ok, most these you only use a little of each day, but I think are expensive especially if a few are bought, but still expensive on their own. I believe they are not for long time use, but blinking expensive if they don't work. I looked at the ingredients of the Mouth Spray, for example I think there were about 15-16 ingredients two of which are Propolyene Glycol and Glycerol which I think are used in e-juices ? I didn't check properly the rest of the products but some also had long lists of ingredients but I think the main ingredient is nicotine. This may be a bit of a ramble but it is more difficult using my Nexus 7 tablet.......that's my excuse. Anyway I think these stories are mostly full of propaganda and misinformation, but at least the reports mentioned here are a little more favourable. Finished !!!

the bit about new young smokers will always be a dig at,ok,they try an ecig, but as the story pointed it has done better than other products, its just a case of devil you do devil you dont,if a teenager wants to try pot suppose thats not such a big issue then,no matter what is said there is always going to be a "IF",and nothing is going to change that, but lately while people jump on the negs of what is seen ,it seems theres a turn around on Ecig use benefits,we all know the benefits we have gained, but on other hand we cannot also say we do not know what there may be dangers in ecig use,you have to look at it this way over many decades we have been bombarded butter/marg/eggs/wine/alcohol list goes on ,hence why i take no notice, only thing i notice is that using an ecig has gained me a few important things back 1/ my health is better 2/ i have saved money end game of all this as we knwo is Pharma companies are losing £££££ big time over a simpler product at a cheaper price.........and they dont like it As for tax, well thats going to be a bit of stuck between rock and a hard place, like all previous posts arguments etc the only thing wold be Nicotine,BUT this will also harm farming and other product uses for it.regulations on it well thats going to happen wether we like it or not just depending on how far they try to go with it is the problem for some that missed the point about pharma comp heres a comaprison Our Homemade 100ml ejuice roughly £10 to home make now look at what they say on the boots link nicorette quick mist is a good one £146 per 100ml www.boots.com/en/Mother-Baby/Planning-for-a-baby/I-want-to-get-pregnant/Stop-smoking/Inhalators-Sprays/
