OMG! Man-Flu & still vaping!

Hi Peeps,

I started sniffing Friday 28th October after just getting over a post holiday cold. Got a bit worse over the weekend and Monday. On Tuesday I flew to Jersey on business and felt like poo. Got hardly any sleep, coughing and sneezing all through the night. Wednesday not much better, my taste buds had given up what with the man-flu and the cough lozenges, even tried going out for a Thai curry on weds night hoping I'd be able to taste it, alas no, just a feeling of chilli heat, not much taste, hardly any sleep again in the hotel, no booze even though I was on expenses (a expenses pint or 3 usually tastes twice as nice as a ordinary pint). Thursday battled through meeting in the morning had 4 hours till the plane left, so I went for a drive round Jersey as I'd not had the chance to do that before. But after a hour or so I just felt so tired that I parked the car up by the sea and had a kip for 2 hours.

So why am I telling you all this?

I was able to VAPE all through this, though not as much as I would normally just coz I did not feel like it. But when I did it was okay on my throat, not like the old days when I smoked "nasties" that would have half killed me. In fact now I just have a "regular" cold and not man-flu it's actually nice to vape menthol, it even helps clear my nose!

You poor lamb, I scarely know how you've had the strength to type your post, poor dear baby boy you.

I to have been similarly stricken this last week, as indeed has Chris and now Bel . . . indeed many of the forum ladies have been similarly afflicted . . . so we've had to cut back on some of our more onerous responsibilities, only until the raging, feverish temperatures have subsided you understand, as the country would come to a standstill if we ceased all output of our labour.

But to be serious Des . . . I've carried on vaping, as I would indeed have done smoking . . . I haven't had a throat that feels like it's been sandpapered, nor have I had a chest infection and a hacking cough, that would have lasted me at least a month in the past. It's all good with vaping.

I suggest you take great care of "the mrs" since she is now probably going to catch it from you but of course hers will be a lot worse not that you will know because she will carry in with life as normal but just not moan about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor you, i really can't say i know how you feel, what with being a woman and all But im sure all the men will be on here soon with their sympathies and advice on how to get through this very trying time

On a more serious note lol i am still in shock that i haven't had a stinking cold by now, usually i'v had a good couple by this time of year so fingers crossed the vaping is keeping it at bay or is that me being blonde again
