As most of you know I'm off to the states next week. The dilemma I've got is how much juice etc should I take with me? Do I take it in hand luggage or pack it in my case? Am I likely to have it confiscated at customs? I've done some scooting about on the Internet and there's very little information out there as what you can n can't do. I know Delta don't allow vaping on the plane which is far enough, but will they allow me to travel with all my vaping gear in my hand luggage? Hope someone knows something on this subject? Thanks Nats x

First of all i hope you have a lovely time When i went abroad for two weeks i put most of my juice in my case, and i also had juice and my e-cig in my hand luggage. Never had a problem with any of it, most of the airlines know all about e-cigs now. But i'v never been to America so don't know if you would have any problems with their security, perhaps Jerry might know??

The security en route to the states is tighter than the usual, but if you have most of your juice in your checked in luggage, with just a small bottle in your liquids bag, you should be fine, i flew to Texas with no problems when i first started vaping, i had a 901 mini cig in my pocket, which i put in the wee tray with my mobile, etc and had no problems...i was asked what my GGTB was on a recent flight to London, but a quick demonstration and they were happy.

Sorry, I can't be of much help, the last time I flew was in 1970. From what I have heard, you shouldn't have any problems with e-juice, Nats, but at some airports, you may be asked to explain what the battery and juice is.
Oh and I don't expect this to happen to you, but just in case you run into an idiot who tells you that e-cigs are banned or illegal in the U.S. tell them that Judge Richard Leon of the Federal Court ruled that they are a "tobacco product" and the FDA has agreed to abide by his decision and regulate them as such. In plain English, they are legal here.

When I went to Florida this year I put most of my juice in my suitcase and a 30 ml bottle in my hand luggage in a food baggie, and threw it into the box thing with my money, watch etc at security to go through the xray, I had my pv's in my hand luggage, no problem at all

Hi Nats, I travel to the U.S quite often as my daughter lives there. In saying that i havent yet been since i started vaping. What i will say is put it in your checked luggage with maybe a small bottle in your hand luggage as American security can be a nightmare! I take alot of stuff over to my daughter mostly sweets & chocolate that you cant get over there & have run into some "Jobs worths" in my time > I also have a cpap machine for my sleep apnoea & everytime i get taken aside whilst they examine it & i have to carry a letter from the hospital. I also had a pretty nasty experience when i took my daughter Kinder eggs & was told that as they are banned in the U.S i will now be listed on their computer as trying to bring banned contraband into the U.S ??? as i said.......Jobsworths!

I never thought I'd have a problem with all the Chocolate and sweets that I'm taking over oh dear I've quite a lot as well Nats your choc will be ok if they ask you if you have anything you can say some sweets it will be ok The problem with Kinder eggs is "seemingly" the toy inside is banned ??? but personally i think they are banned because drug smugglers try to smuggle drugs in the plastic capsule But sweets & choc are ok i also take tea bags, diluting juice (they dont get that there) Bisto, oxo & various other things that my daughter misses so dont worry just dont carry alot of liquid in your hand luggage or you will deffo draw attention to yourself one thing they dont like is liquids in hand luggage
