It`s only two quid more than the 20 watt version, glad I held off but I`ll wait for the 18650 version

A scale drawing of the case and a battery. The drawing shows the external measurements of the box. The box is 26mm deep.
It does not show the inner dimensions of the box though, so allowances have to be made for that. No data available for that.
Looks do-able to put a 18650 in there, not easy, but do-able

I really cant see a 18650 version of this appearing, by all accounts it seems that some filing etc is needed to get the battery in there.

You may just get one in there hard wired (which is probably what you mean), but it's needs 3-4 mm more to have a swappable one (with a decent spring). I managed to do it in a 70 mm gap, could do 68 m mmin IMO, maybe 66.5 mm with a crappy flat spring, but that tight it would be a real job to get the battery out.

Me too, I just checked again and they have added Black.

Now to wait for the 18650 version

I doubt it will come at that size, just too fiddly to fit a battery in there, should come in the bigger case soon though DiscoDes

I bet they will have the 18650 ones within the week. I'll probably grab one as a spare and if the board is crap replace it with a proper one and donate to ronaldo as he said he would be interested to see if it can be improved.
