Hello all, lovely to join such an informed, genuine group of folks (from what I've seen skulking around up to now). I've been vaping for around a year, but had the odd lapse, usually when the taste changes from good/ok to bitter, nasty, plain unpleasant. However, I'm determined to stay off the stinkies for ever and that's where I need your help, if you can spare the time I'd be ever so grateful.
I am currently using a couple of ego T batteries, a 650 and 1000, which are now about a year old, also got a small Inno. Plain ordinary batteries.
i started with CE5 clearomisers, moved to Evods, then on to Aspire bdc. I change the heads when it starts to taste not nice, and that works for a while, but the taste seems to deteriorate fast  :'(So I think I need to upgrade my kit. Now, as you know, there is loads out there but I think I want either
a Vision Spinner 2 with mini aerotank, or similar  or
A naturevape clearo and vv battery

i like the idea the spinner is a larger capacity battery so will last longer, but it's quite a bit longer than my current one, and I've heard some good things about the naturevape miser, which I think even I could re wick. I do like to have a few flavours on the go, but I'd also like to be able to clean out a tank and change the flavour, which is not easy with plastic tanks as they tend to hold flavour I find.

so either/or..........unless you know a foolproof set which delivers perfect vapour every time

do vv batteries make a lot of difference?

OK, your eGo batteries are probably past their best - they usually take about 200 charges before the 'memory' starts going (I know that problem!), and they don't hold as much charge.
You would notice a big difference with your Aspires on a Spinner without having to change anything else. The option to turn up or down the power depending on your juice, nicotine requirements and most of all flavour is great, and would only cost you about £20 delivered to your door.
The Mini Protank range now does a Dual Coil option - MPT3 - but this will essentially be the same as your Aspires so not a lot of improvement.
Naturevape - a great idea, where you buy a hand-built microcoil and then rewick it every couple of days when the flavour starts dropping off, using cotton wool.
Have you considered actually building your own coils? It's not at all difficult, and once you have the basic principles under your control, they take a few minutes. You would rewick them just like the NV heads, and the same coiling techniques would enable you to try out other types of rebuildable atties too.
If I were in your position I would get a Spinner and a NV clearo, and see how that goes first. If you like that arrangement, then you could build on that in the future. At the worst case scenario, you would have a new VV battery as a backup for when your original batts go AWOL, which they could do at any time.

I'm quite a newbie too and I have the naturevape mini with a vision spinner. I've yet to experiment with them properly yet, but I can say, if you do go for the nature vape clearo, give it a good clean before you use it for the first time, leave the juice in the tank when you fill it up for the first time so the wick gets nice and saturated, and allow the cotton wick to bed in before casting judgement on it. Also take some time to fiddle about with the voltage on the spinner.

I didn't do all this when I got mine and it tasted absolutely foul! I was so disappointed and thought I'd wasted my money, but realised my mistakes (thanks to peeps on here ) and I'm a lot happier with it now.

You've been vaping a lot longer than me so probably know more than I do, but I may aswell add that if you're going for a change, possibly try one new thing at a time. Again, I made the mistake of changing too many different things at once and then when things went wrong I had a hell of a job narrowing down what the problem/s was/were!

Chykensa, I might have a look at re building coils, as well as wicking the NV, it might save a reasonable amount of money....ATM I try to make sure I have a good supply of aspire heads in, they seem to need replacing often.

I think having a VV battery makes a big difference to the vape you can enjoy, gives me more of that smoking sensation anyway.

Hello & welcome to the community, sleedale. I only use Spinners/Ego-C-Twists (with ProTanks) they're the easiest thing to use & being able to up the power a tad makes some juices pretty darn perfect.

So, same but different question, is there much different between a 1600 and 900 battery? Now I know the numbers speak for themselves, and I assume the bigger one lasts longer? But is that all the difference and is it huge? Only really asking cos NV only do 900 spinner battery, not the vision 2, so I'd have two lots of postage, icon_shoppingm and I'd rather spend it on juice or other hardware.

It's very much down to personal preference as to what you use. A VV will enhance your experience for now, so just enjoy for now and advance after a while if you trully feel the need.

Hi sleedale and a warm from me too.
Another tank to think about is the Mini Protank 2, I mainly use these on ego batteries and a Vision Spinner 2, they have a glass tank and are single bottom coil. I recoil mine with microcoil and cotton wool (Super-Shiny no nonsense guide HERE)and would say they are on par with the naturevape clearos (almost identical setup)

and just a quickie to say that making own coils (when you start wondering 'what if' is surprisingly easier than expected) so its probably a wise move to try a naturevape coil and then spend some time just reading through how to make own coils, if only to have a new skill in case its ever needed?......I spent ages assuming I wouldn't be able to that when I gave it a go I couldn't believe how straightforward it was
