It was one guy, others posted theirs was OK. He thinks it was because it had VG in it (50/50) and was in plastic bottles, but maybe being stuff he got from China is also a factor. IIRC he had some PG only from the same batch that was OK.

'n there's me thinking about a back up freezer.. Good point from darcy (I fink)- "I'm the nicotine guy. Sorry to hear about peeps. tales of woe regarding their stock solutions going off. I by no stretch of the imagination am an expert in this field but as I've said previously when i worked base liquid in an MHRA approved laboratory (ok its not the same as the 72mg in PG or VG) it was always stored @ +4 Deg. C. It would also be very cautious storing nicotine for years at a time (fridge or freezer) and expecting it to be tip top upon use. Nicotine will degrade into its related substances and i would expect that be accelerated somewhat when its diluted in PG / VG. Again this is only my personal view based on some previous experience. Safe vaping to all! Wink" Apolls if quoting from another forum is against rules or offends or whatever...

I'm using base that's almost 3 years old, it's perfectly fine and it's from China . . . but! it has been stored in glass which I think is key. Plastic bottles are known to react over time with chemicals, nicotine being one. For what glass bottles cost and the time it takes to decant, it's a no brainer really for me.

All mine are in plastic in freezer, been about 3 months? I've been saving my Boots vg bottles so I shall decant now.
The reason I hadn't was that the 100ml bottles were well labeled and sealed inside individual air bubbles ( don't know how else to describe them!)

Happily not overconcerned myself, UK sourced nic base and stored in glass, wrapped in bubble wrap (from previous vaping order deliveries) and kept in freezer. Hopefully should have about 2 years worth at current consumption. (But may last a lot longer if I did eventually tire of this hobby and give it all up. )

Looks like a one-off to me, probably down to the plastic it came in.
Better in a fridge or freezer or at least in the dark @johanino. Some research has been done, nicotine does degrade slowly over time and dark and cold slow that down.
