Hi all I am new here just thought i'd say hi and post a couple of quick questions, I am looking at buying a starter set but am overwhelmed at the amount of choice available I am a heavy smoker so am thinking it would be better to have 2 devices, I am looking at the kanger e smart , would this kit be a good starting point? or the apollo kit that is on the banner above. The sites i have visited (and I have looked at a fair few) all claim to be the best so I am just getting more confused as to what product to buy. I am also a type 2 diabetic using insulin, i have read some reports that some e cig vapours can raise blood sugar readings are there any diabetics in the forum that can give me some info on what would be the better vapours to try.

Ello elly2 - I got the www.myepack.co.uk Evod Starter kit (you get 2 devices in a colour of your choice) - they got me into the vaping story & were a great start for me. Others will have their favourites, so I can't comment on what is "best". I can't answer the insulin part, sorry - again, others may be able to help.

Hi elly2 to the forum. As a starter kit I would probably go for the EVOD's or the itaste vv v3 listed here. myepack This site is one of the best for price and I use them a lot. The itaste vv v3 is the better kit, but it does only come with the 1 battery, so when it runs out you will have to be near a usb charge point to carry on using till it is charged up again. the EVOD's come with 2 tanks and spare replacement coils and 2xbattery so it may be the better 1st purchase to get you going. All the EVOD starter kits here are the same so if want purple or red or blue then just pick the one you like

Hi and elly2The Evod starter kit CaptainChaos has linked to is a good place to start from a UK vendor that is well respected on this forum. The direct link to the Evod kit : myepack.co.uk/evod-starter-kit.htmlYou will also need some liquid, there are many vendors to choose from, some to try are JosseJuice; very cheap, but many of their flavours have to be steeped (just left in a cool dark place) for a week or 2 before it is at it's best. Vapeescape - good quality e-liquids. The Alchemists Cupboard - lovely "gourmet" flavour juices. There are many more who do good lliquids, just ask. I can't help you specifically with your Diabetes, but nicotine does raise blood pressure, so if you smoke you'll aready be doing this. Nothing else in e-liquids raises blood pressure, if anything they help reduce it. You'll be able to tailor your nicotine intake using e-liquid much better than you could smoking. Hope this helps.

hi elly2 and welcome - very good advice on myepack - my favourite vendor too my husband is diabetic2 - he does not vape much and 0 nicotin - but has absolutely no problems and he likes sweet flavours like applepie, or raspberry ripple as you are a heavy smoker - get a minimum of 18mg maybe even better 24mg liquid - the nicotine is not the problem anyhow - and if you start with the right strength, you won't have cravings

... or the apollo kit that is on the banner above. The sites i have visited (and I have looked at a fair few) all claim to be the best so I am just getting more confused as to what product to buy. Hi! Please don't buy anything from Apollo. It is all over-priced. They advertise on here without being one of our vendors. Some of it is a plain rip-off. The e-smart would not be my choice for you. Go straight in with a proper "eGo" model that uses the standard accessories. Many e-cig sites claim to be "the best". Mostly, they are standard kit (or even below standard i.e. a bit crap) and use bogus reviews to make you part with your money. Good luck. The folk on here will advise you where and what to get better than me.

PS. I started on 24mg and smoked 15 a day.
I only dropped to 18mg once I got really good kit....
Don't under-do it if you want to stop smoking. Better to have too much and get the occasional "flush" rather than cravings.
