No you made the right choice elly2 the batteries on EVOD last 2 times longer than the Shisha batteries. I think Clivia mistakenly put the wrong link.

elly2 - hi and a warm welcome from me too!! You have made an excellent first choice there with the starter kit, and the juices from JJ will be a little raw to begin with as they are freshly mixed to order, but after a week or so they will begin to mellow and mature, just like a good wine or cheese. I would suggest that you start vaping the fruits first as these take less time to mature, and leave the Caramel Blend as long as you dare as it will just carry on getting better for up to 6 weeks. Please let us know how you get on, and if you have any questions or problems, please ask away, we're here to help

Hi elly2 and Good choice of starter kit, that's what I started on and still use everyday for work and out and about Liquids, a lot of liquids contain artificial sweetner's as sugars will gunk up the heating elements. I did some searching earlier in the year re vaping and blood glucose and could not find anything scientific but lots of "I'm vaping all the foods I can't eat" posts on US forums. If you know how you react to different artificial sweetners you can ask some of the better vendors if they know which ones are used. Eg Jim at Joosejuice. Don't put yourself under any pressure to give up cigs straight away just let the switch to vaping happen gradually. It will happen. By not getting stressed your meter will give you a true reflection on how different liquids are affecting you. Tell your GP or DSN what you are doing, your meds may need to be adjusted to prevent lows. I'm testings about .8 lower since switching to vaping which seems about right when reading the scary stuff from googling smoking and diabetes. Not science but you might find this article and the comments below helpful ecigarettedirect.blog on diabetesand ecigs. I'm not a medical proffessional and the above posts are just my opinions

Hi elly2 and a warm to AAEC from me too. Some great advice has already been given and you really have bought a good starter kit so don't be worried. If you need alittle more understanding of the way things work, what they are etc look HEREFor more 'steeping' advice and a better understanding then you may want to take a look HERE

Morning , good to hear that i bought the better of the kits, can someone answer a few questions please, while looking on the jj site i noticed that not all the juice said to steep them so will they be ok to use straight away or will they get better over time as well ?. Also the pineapple one said not to be used in a polycarbonate tank (thinking tank is another term for a clearomizer is that right?) can i use this one in my starter kit ? i don't remember seeing what the tanks are made of, also do i need to buy any spare tanks or will the 2 i have be enough for now? i read somewhere to wash and leave the tanks over night to dry also if it's best to buy more which ones do i buy to make sure they fit my kit?. Thanks again for the welcomes and for the info and the links looks like i still have a fair bit of reading to do.

Welcome elly2. Morning , good to hear that i bought the better of the kits, can someone answer a few questions please, while looking on the jj site i noticed that not all the juice said to steep them so will they be ok to use straight away or will they get better over time as well ? I'd use them immediately, most flavours do improve over time. but fruits/mints will be good to go when you receive them. You'll need a glass tank of some description to be able to use any potential tank crackers safely, if you do buy another, I'd get one of those. i read somewhere to wash and leave the tanks over night to dry also if it's best to buy more which ones do i buy to make sure they fit my kit?. Tanks don't really need overnight to dry, it's easy to get a little obsessive cleaning/washing kit which isn't strictly necessary. Anything that has a 510 connection will fit your batteries, which the vast majority of equipment tends to be thesedays. A look at the Mini Protank migt be worth purchasing, along with spme spare heads. Then you can use any tank crackers as well in it.myepack.co.uk/clearomizers/kanger-mini-protank-3.html Hope some of that helps.

Hi and elly2The Evod starter kit CaptainChaos has linked to is a good place to start from a UK vendor that is well respected on this forum. The direct link to the Evod kit : myepack.co.uk/evod-starter-kit.htmlYou will also need some liquid, there are many vendors to choose from, some to try are JosseJuice; very cheap, but many of their flavours have to be steeped (just left in a cool dark place) for a week or 2 before it is at it's best. Vapeescape - good quality e-liquids. The Alchemists Cupboard - lovely "gourmet" flavour juices. There are many more who do good lliquids, just ask. I can't help you specifically with your Diabetes, but nicotine does raise blood pressure, so if you smoke you'll aready be doing this. Nothing else in e-liquids raises blood pressure, if anything they help reduce it. You'll be able to tailor your nicotine intake using e-liquid much better than you could smoking. Hope this helps. I am really depressed now discodes, I didn't know that nicotine increases blood pressure? Methinks I had better reduce my nic in my juices goodness knows if I will cope with that, am on 12mg atm will come down gradually and hope my body won't know the difference.

Coupled with carbon minoxide from stinkies which thickens the blood and reduces it's oxygen carrying capacity, you are FAR better off with an e-cig. BTW Caffeine also raises the blood pressure (marginally) so are you giving up tea and coffee too?

DiscoDes. I have COPD so have to get my BP down, don't drink much tea /coffee replaced them with water. I am wondering why my Dr never mentioned this to me when I told him I had started vaping (2 yrs ago) as I had high BP at the time too?

Hi all so my kit and juices arrived yesterday it's a pretty colour but I will prob get into this shineyitus thing soon am still looking for a glass tank for my pineapple juice, I am vaping the soft mint atm which seems to be going well, i had grape in the other one but found it a bit icky for me so have put cherry in it now still ickyish but not as bad as the grape will leave them a while to see if they improve in taste, am going to see if i can find some more juice that is less sweet I thought I would be a sweet type of girl but nope. So my vaping experience so far is one normal cig at 6 pm last night and one normal cig at 6 am this morning which is pretty darn good/bloomin excellent for me considering I did a 12 hour nightshift and I usually smoke upto 30 a day (shocking amount really). My friends are amazed that I have only had 2 cigs and I'm pretty pleased with myself as well, even though it is very early days, well hours really lol So a couple more questions that have probably been asked numerous times before but here we go, do the e cigs need to be kept upright when they have juice in to prevent leaking or are they ok to put flat? also is it best to turn them off inbetween vaping or are they ok to be left on for say the whole day.

Well done you! A couple of ciggies is a lot of ciggies less than before. Now you'll start noticing how rank they smell I take clearos off, stand them up and switch the battery off.
