I mix my Vanillin Powder/Crystals in a small dish ( as I do with Menthol Crystals ) then draw it up into a syringe and bottle. Purely because I find that easier than trying to persuade powder down a little bottle neck @tubthumper and it's easier to get it mixed that way, I reckon. So basically dissolve as much crystals as possible in the PG then bottle. I probably use a heaped teaspoon in total, to 10ml(ish) of PG @tubthumper, although I do it gradually making sure both ingredients are completely mixed/dissolved as I go along. I got a huge bag too....more than I will ever use....... although I have been having a look at other recipes where I could use it I add it to any recipe now, where I'd like a more creamy flavour Deb, Toffee/Caramel take is really well I think.

This sounds so much faffing, I would rather buy it ready made.

I love to faff but in everything I do I work to exact tolerances so not having exact amounts would drive me insane if I didn't work to fine tolerances radar would be out and remote guided missiles would never hit there target just think of our last battle with Iraq if I wasn't accurate missiles would have ended up in iran not funny really but you get the point I have to stay accurate it even drives me insain I have to measure everything when I make the Yorkshire puddings on a sunday

Perps, am having enough problems with my Batts without needing to faff with my mixing I am getting on fine with mixing and have quite a few single flavours that I have done that are delicious , I am going to make larger quantities now especially as I have now got 72mg nic. Thanks for your input into helping with mixing, I finally got there in the end.

I used Vanillin crystals for the first time yesterday. I followed the advice, to half fill a 10ml. bottle with crystals and top up with PG..........it just would not all dissolve. I ended up adding more and more PG until it did finally dissolve completely and ended up with over 30 ml. No probs as it will get used eventually, but next time I will follow the advice above and just use 1 teaspoon in 10ml. of PG
