I have the aerotank mini with the new style heads, i was finding they were only lasting me a couple of refills before they started to leak badly though. I have one that i recoiled with single 1.5 ohm microcoil and cotton wick and it is a week old now so for me it was a vast improvement over the original.
The only difference i can see between these and the old style dual coil is they have a metal sleeve over the two slits and instead of the rubber cap they just have a rubber washer.
They are a right PITA to wick but if you have some of the rubber caps from the old dual coils i cant see any reason why you cant ditch the metal sleeve and rubber washer in favor of the old style rubber cap.
Personally i am going to try and enlarge the holes slightly in the metal sleeve on the next one i do, occasionally i get dry hits on the aerotankmini with my recoiled head and i think this will help improve the situation. Overall though i have been finding it is much better with the single coil and cotton wick than the dual coils were, im getting more flavor and can make some pretty impressive clouds with it.
Got the aerotank mini to pair up with some old ego batteries for use at work and have been very impressed with it (apart from the issue i was having with the supplied coil head leaking).
