In a 250ml bottle I would put 62ml of water (in a bigger bottle obviously)

i'm here well if you want to air on the side of caution then maybe start with a lesser amount of water.... you can always add but can not take away start with 7ml maybe but thats only if you are going to use the whole 38ml of glycerine... how much of the e-liquid do you have that need diluting ?

I only have a 5 ml bottle of the juice that's got too much PG in it. What a carry on. Wish I'd have just chucked it now!

Didn't taste nice with 80% PG! I just thought I needed to add glycerin on it's own and that was that. Why does it have to be special water, I have a Brita water filter, wouldn't that water have done?

to be honest i dont know i guess if its pure then it wont mess up your atty and wont react with flavours but for such a small quantity it probably wouldnt have mattered to use filtered

Don't know how pure filtered water is. We live in an extremely chalky area, it's a nightmare. It wrecks water tanks and boilers quickly, kn*****s kettles, irons, anything with water in it. I have a water butt in the garden to catch rain to water my indoor plants and put fresh flowers in as it kills them too. I know when my filter jug needs a new filter just by the taste of a hot drink, it's disgusting, yet I can drink cold water straight from the tap!

My water's hard and very chorine-y tasting, but I put it in bottles in the fridge, that makes it drinkable. The last time I went home to Cornwall I couldn't do a thing with my hair after washing it in the soft water down there. What was the topic of this thread? Oh yes, sorry...

I'd test it first if it's very watery, see if it soaks in OK without diluting. I wonder if room temp has any effect on the consistency?

It doesn't worry me in the slightest about threads going off topic Scylla, they always come back again after a little stroll around. Variety is the spice of life, as long as Terry Wogan's not in it, gets on my nerves he does with his constant prattling about nothing. When I stayed with my Grandma in Cumbria, I had very long hair and loved the soft water and I didn't have to use loads of shampoo or any conditioner after. Her towels were so soft and cuddly. Ours are like sandpaper in comparison. I have 2 bottles of concentrate as well that I haven't started on yet. Caramel butter and chocolate mint. I have all the ingredients now, I just need the enthusiasm and a recipe please! Just a little taster in case I don't like it.

If you care to read Grizwalds mixology tutorials over on UKV you will see he advises 20 - 25% cut to VG with either distilled/de-ionised water or Vodka . His personal preference is vodka for a better throat hit . I spoke to him the other day and his advice using Vodka was to mix at 20 -25% give the bottle a good shake and then let the bottle "breathe " for at least an hour to remove any harshness of the vodka. He also advised me to get one of the purer Vodka's such as Blue label Sm*****f. ... Not advertising mods
