Looks interesting, it's double boiled in distilled water, but £1.20 a metre seems a little on the high side to me though probably < 20p per Kayfun wick.

How does yarn compare to cotton balls? I've changed to cotton yarn/tape about a week ago. Got a ball of 65 metres for £1 from Hobbycraft. It was reduced end of line I think. Found it to be a bit too narrow for the Nature Vape coils. Measured it and it was about 4mm wide. As I pulled it through the coil there wasn't enough resistance and I had leaking problems. I doubled it over and the leaks stopped but it was too thick and hard to get into the coil. My daughter in law works for a fabric company and got me a sample length of 5mm. It's just right and I've rewicked all my coils with it. No problems so far. She's getting me 50 metres and I think it's something like 25p per metre. Mrsmac I can send you a sample of both to try. PM me if you want to try it.

I might have to try some of these as I have had success with all the common ones including silkowool cotton balls even butchers string that was a good one if you haven't tried it go to your local butchers ask him if his string is 100% cotton and ask for a meter they normally give you it free make your coil feed string through fray the ends as it is slower wicking for the first time once it is wet you can chain vape till your hearts content never a dry hit great and with it being cotton string lasts and lasts and lasts

That's what I got at first and found it was not thick enough. Still got 64.9 metres of it which I'll give to someone who wants it at Vapefest.

Would like a couple metres to experiment with please smifee, I'll be camping all weekend. I was planning to have a sort-out and bring the stuff I wont be using.

I asked my wife to get me some cotton yarn while she was out at the haberdashery and she came back with something that looks like the item on ebay. Cost was about the same as he wants for 5m. Next to it is the rico fashion stuff that is also way cheaper. Not sure if the yarn is undyed etc, but Ive used it as it is and it performs similarly to cotton wool but as has been mentioned, take a little wetting, when it is it's fine. The Rico stuff also takes a bit of wetting but is my preference. Again, similar to cotton wool but a big plus for me is the flavour seems to tail of with cotton wool, but the ribbon seems not to suffer from this. It is sort of like 4mm tubigrip in construction and I find it is a good fit for 2mm coils. I haven't got any pictures of it in a coil but 2 lengths of the other stuff is fine in a 2mm coil. I can send you 5m of each if you like MrsmacEdit: Just realised smifee has already made you an offer
