A good quality 30 amp battery like a Sony VTC4 or VTC5 will be ok with far more than 15 amps. It's 30 amp rating is measured for continuous draw which means that you could have a 0.14 ohm coil and hold the button down until you drain your battery. You would however have a badly burned hand as this generates roughly 120 watts of power in your tiny atomiser coil. Most people use coils with about 1 ohm to 1.5 ohms which is only 2.8 to about 4 amps, and even sub ohm cloud chasing at 0.3 ohms only uses 14 amps. I'm not saying you don't need to be careful, or that nothing could go wrong because care is needed, and things do occasionally go wrong. Buy good quality batteries, Look after them - don't over discharge them and don't over charge them Use a good quality charger Don't use batteries with any damage or signs of wear and tear. They aren't very expensive, dispose of old or damaged ones and buy new ones
A 30 amp battery will be as safe as any lithium cell can be right down to a resistance where the only people who are vaping are the same people who think playing in traffic is good family fun.

chill36Great advice all around, but on a non technical side, for god sake when your attys arrive, don't be tempted to just "throw a coil on and vape" The chances are you will be heaving your guts up in no time flat......... Give each atty a bloody good clean, either in an ultrasonic bath or just plain old fashioned boiling water. The finishing proceses over in China leave a lot to be desired and your likely to find copious amounts of machine oil and metal swafe deep inside the bases. That taken into consideration, start slow and work your way up as your ability and experience grows. Welcome to Vaping

chill36I don't know anything about the batteries you mentioned but usually higher mah means lower current. If I were you I would get some sonys. Myepack stock them and are just a few quid each. Well worth it in my opinion as it's one less thing to worry about. The intellicharger is great, a lot of people on here use the same one

chill36 you would be better off with sony's, I learnt a few thing about efest the other day that are not good. You didn't say whether your efest was IMR or ICR at 3400mah it sounds like ICR. you would be better off using a sony vtc4 or vtc5 like erik514 says. IMR batteries are made of a more stable chemistry than ICR batteries
