after 3 attempts and using my new gadget, I made a new coil for one of my mini protanks.....it didn't really need it but I wanted to change juice and wick. The first couple came out at 2.5 and 2.2 ohm's so I did less wraps. It works, doesn't leak or gurgle and although it wasn't easy, patience paid off. the hardest bit I find is holding the coil together to heat it, can't keep it dead straight and tweezers get hot! But I'm one happy bunny. so a big thank you, again, to Super-Shiny, for the amazing guide and support. i was so pleased I filled the wrong tank with a fav juice which really should be steeping but I seem to have gone off my useable ones. Realised what I'd done, and then realised I'd forgotten the little cap thing over the chimney, so put it all right, and even thought the juice isn't as flavourful as it might be, was very happy. sorry the pic is sideways........ ???

Well done, it's very rewarding when it works and the good news is you'll get better each time you make one and before long you'll wonder what all the fuss was about and be turning them out in your sleep

Well done sleedale, there'll be no stopping you now Thank you for your confidence......think I need loads more practice though. But at least I don't have to buy coils and heads as often as I did, so saving some cash and learning too. Can't be bad. Mixing next cauldron-smileyOr maybe not

Well you've done one successfully so now you know it can be done. Here's a tip, we all have days when nothing we try to coil works as it should, don't let it put you off go back the following day and try again. Mixing is great fun, have a good look at the threads on here for inspiration and start off with simple recipes and you won't be far off the mark.

nice job sleedale. Its worth it for the better flavour you get when using cotton. Home made tend to last much longer as well, just need to dry burn and rewick.

I'd seen those tweezers, and will get some.....but..... didn't click the BIN cos.......they are too long to fit in my little bits box and no......I don't want a bigger bits box cos when we go away it'll all have to squirrel away in hidey holes in the campervan but they might go in sideways and squiff and I'm now waffling so I'll stop

Nice one sleedale I take it you don't mind the faff so much now? Nope.....I generally like making things anyhow so this is a variation on a theme (of things to faff with instead of doing anything really useful ) it's good to know it isn't rocket science, but without super shiny's guide I'd have not even bothered trying, it was all double Dutch to me before. So I'll make a few more when I need them, but for me it's useful cos I can rewick and change flavours often without buying 10 more decent clearos! Think in a month or two, I might look at juice making, assuming it's cheaper than buying ready made? For now. Happy vaping everyone
