We had an infestation of them in our house in Adelaide (Australia) even though the house was clean, and had to get something called a "roach bomb". Great fun, but we had to evacuate the house for hours while it sought & destroyed every living thing there

was going to say nothing in particular, but have thought of something.....
walking upstairs to go to bed late at night, this is done with lights out so as not to wake wifey, after having watched a properly scary film, and usually with me looking back down the stairs for the Boogey man lol

In my doctors notes I am diagnosed as needlephobic, utterly completely terrified of them. When I was a police officer I faced down a bloke with a loaded shotgun and on another occasion was stabbed in the arm before arresting the fellow, how weird is needle phobia?

My son is completely terrified of needles, he had to have a blood test not long ago and even though he's a grown man I had to go with him AND he had to be prescribed a Valium, he still shook like a leaf and was so white the nurse thought he was going to faint.

Have to say. Plenty of things I don't like. Spider. Wasps. Etc. but my only phobia is trypophobia. I never actually realised what a phobia was before this. I know it sounds daft but I find it genuinely horrific.
Most people don't know what it is. And I never usually mention it on the net because people seem to think its hysterical to post a picture of it. Last time someone did that I actually threw my phone and broke the screen.
