Morning all, for some reason most of my tanks have started crackling/gurgling, I've read on the board that it may be due to the way I am filling them (amongst other problems) I am using a protank 2 atm but its the same when I use my iclears, can anyone point me in the direction of some needle cap bottles please.

Crackling/fizzing/popping is a good sign of a healthy tank. Gurgling = not so good

The gurgling is flooding, small quantities of excess juice getting into the air tube, or it could just be condensation, you need to dry the bottom and sometimes the inside of the drip tip now and again, you can also hold your device by the battery and give it a flick, as if your whipping with it, probably better to not do this over your lounge carpet as some juice will flick out the drip tip end, hope this helps

Are you rinsing them out with water? I tend to find after rinsing my tanks I have to dry fire them before filling to get rid of the gurgling.

I've just put a new coil and wick in a Kayfun and its got a touch of all three but its blowing clouds and taste is awesome. Would be more worried if it gurgled.

Mine do occasionally but have started washing them and using a different one and leaving the washed one to dry before using it .. hence the reason for 'having' to order a few more spares on the weekend LOL (thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!) A good 'blow' through the end can also do the trick sometimes

Yes a good blow onto tissue should clear it. Sometimes there may be a gap where the wicks poke out on the PT2, the juice can leak in through there. If you fluff-up the wicks a bit it can help to fill any gap there might be. You gotta love the innuendo that comes with vaping.

Also, when you take a pull on your ecig try this, start pressing the button before you take a pull, take slow deep pulls rather than sharp short ones so you're giving the coil enough time to vaporise any liquid on it. Keep holding the button down for half a second after you've stopped taking a pull to vaporise any liquid still on the coil.

We don't believe you! To op. I've been using an RDA all yesterday and it is interesting to note that you end up listening to the subtle changes in the crackles and popops as the sound changes depending how wet your wick is. Not quite there yet but you can definitely hear a change as you start to run dry. Before you notice the flavour drop or dry hit. Couple of times I thought "hmmmmm", took the cap off and sure enough the wick was just about to dry out. Morning.......# too sleeeepy. Tired Ruffie. X

Yes I've got soggy/crunchy tissue soaked with goo all over my desk and table from having to blow mine quite regularly. They don't perform well when they're wet so best leave them to dry and if you get droplets of water that won't go away, a quick waft with the hair dryer does the trick Both my T3S and Mini Protank 2 have been leaking on to my battery recently for some reason though

Just remember that an atty is basically a tube and the only thing that that stops your juice flooding out everywhere is your head. Correct wicking will sort most problems out if the seals are all OK.
