OMG Dual coil dripping !!!

decoy , just seen rip trippers video using this kanthal , it looks pretty awesome.

But what's it like in a kayfun style tank , I'm assuming it would work as the length of the coil would be too long? ( for a decent kayfun build to get ohms which work with the rba's )

@purple1234 i heard about shotgun coils and i just presumed it ment makeing a coil and bending it back on its self half way down the coil
so ive been messing with that idea and got a kayfun running at .6 with no dry burns as you have 2 sets of wicks when the tank runs out i might try .4 but at the moe its ruddy lush
ive allso done the above with a parallel duel coil of .25 but thats a wee bit of a faff

as you can tell enjay has had his wicked way with me and im well on the way to the dark side of coiling madness

Shotgun is dual coil, two separate coils otherwise it's just a long coil ha ha

So enjay and @purple1234 I've succumbed, but have yet to gain any satisfactory results.

I tried the Stillare clone with a single parallel coil, it's extremely airy even with the air holes closed. It fired up with a crackle and pop but all I got in use  was
a gob full of air, little flavour, and virtually no vapour.

So Ive made 2 x 1ohm coils, 10 wraps, 3mm 0.5 Kanthal that's reading 0.5 on my multimeter.

Got to get the lawn mown before it rains so will wick it up latter and get back.

Rust already forming on the deck, I hate clones!!!!

Made these with the .4 that came in at 0.4 Ohm

Just started raining so made it in time

So what's the secret with this dripping, low res dual coil lark? I want this to work.

There are two air slots on the Stillare and I'm lining them up with the coils. Should the cotton wick fill all the deck as in your one hijack
as well as under the coils, thought I'd leave some air space under them.

Just about to wick them, plus making sure I have the Sony 30amp fully charged in place and not the Panny 10amp ones.

Well your coils put mine to shame @scooby really like how you bent the legs so well.
Mine is wicking nice and the wick I did this time as shown, was take on the kayfun wick that the Asian guy did on the video that a few here use now. I twisted the cotton as I threaded it through so it was quite tight. Then snipped the ends making one end longer as my coils aren't central like yours. Then blew on the ends till they really puffed up, and folded under the coil and around the deck. seems to work nice, and holds a fair bit of juice.

Edit forgot yes line the airholes up so they are right on the coils.

Most times good enough isn't for me, I like things to be perfect, or as close as I can get, (the reason I have a dislike of clones).

I do all the manipulation on the drill bit so as it retains form. Bend gently, a little at a time with needle nose pliers and strong blunt nosed tweezers.
I then offer it up to the posts to check the fit, then back on the bit for any final tweaking.

Then there is the age old saying, 'The more I practice....... Those two I'm happy with, the three I made prior to those are in the bin

Going to wick them like yours now.

It's not rust, it's just needing a clean, stainless steel doesn't rust.

Anyway low ohms, dual coil, wick loose enough to move through the coils without hanging. Snip it and lay it on the deck.

Make sure the coils are up in line with the air holes too then take a big lung inhale and get back to me.

@scooby , I twist round the airholes until I get the draw I like. I agree that RDA's can be really airy .

BUT , keep going and remember
