I think I've only got 3 orders outstanding from Foclecig at the moment, and one from FT

got my copper nemi from FT today and its smaller than you may think even in 650 mode. This setup stands the same height as my ego with PT2 mini.
Just trying it out with the trident dripper.

There's a few good choices on Fasttech. I have the Launcher. Brilliant telescopic and very well made. Read the reviews for any mod you're looking at. There's a combined voltage and resistance checker on there too, about £7. Also have the brass M16. It's as heavy as the Vamo, but much shorter. Avoid an 18350 only. You will soon want longer battery life. I've no kick. If you make your own coils, it's not needed.

leo What are you planning to use as a tank/atty? hijack, either my trusty Fogger v4, or I have a KFL+v2 (with the nano kit) on it's way from FT... looking forward to running it in nano mode to keep the size down.. not sure if 2.5ml will get me through a day at work though!! Cheers

Has anyone tried one of the aluminium Nemesis clones from FT? Cheap as chips and the reviews are mostly very positive

Cheers Oh ok you obviously make your own coils and wicks, as when using a mech you get voltage drop over the coarse of using a battery. So when fresh at 4.2v it will be giving more watts than when it reaches 3.5v. So make the coil so it gets high watts at the start so as it drops it doesn't get too weak eg. A 1.5 coil will give 12 watts on a fresh battery and will drop to 8 watts when the battery reaches 3.5v. So you could make at 1.3 to give a better window to vape through the life of the battery. Sorry if you know this already.

Cheers bud, yes I know the theory, but not the practical as I am yet to buy a mech. What I'm really interested to see will be the difference to the vape that I get from the flat dc signal of a non-kicked mech and what I get from the pwm of my vamo. And.... then the difference that makes to the ohms/wattage that I'm looking to vape at. (Not to mention 'able' to vape at) I'm only guessing here, but I imagine the difference between a mech and a regulated mod will be huge. So basically, bring it on! Can't wait to start my mech-mod journey (once I get some protected batteries of course!!!!!!!) Cheers

leo The real difference will come when you try a dripper. With a tank type like a KF you are limited to how quickly it can get juice to the wicks, so there comes a point that it cant keep up as the watts get higher. With a dripper you saturate the wicks with juice before vaping. This and the extra airflow is why you can vape at 35+ watts without getting a burnt taste. In fact the flavour is way more intense with this kind of setup.
Batteries can be a confusing subject with different people giving different advice, so Im not going to do that. Protected may be better for you at the start as they will cut off when they get low.
I myself use unprotected and have a pocket voltage checker just to see how long I have left on the battery. The chemistry in unprotected (IMR) batteries is less volatile than protected (ICR)under stress and unlikely to flame-out if things do go badly wrong. In protected batteries you are relying on the built in circuit and hoping it doesn't fail as well as they can produce flames if it goes bad.
Just use appropriate caution and always be aware of how much stress you are putting on your battery in terms of Amps and allow plenty of headroom and you should be fine.

(Any chance you want to post up a pic?) Nice to have the option to explore the sub-ohm world down the line too! Thanks for all your input. Greatly appreciated. leo The real difference will come when you try a dripper. Gotcha, will definitely look into getting a dripper... good info on the battery front too. Cheers hijack
