Quick question for the mech owners.. (sorry if this has been asked 1001 times before) I'm looking to get my first mech (planning to run in 18350 mode to keep it as small as possible), and would be very grateful for a bit of advice. Have seen this (£15): www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10005773/1448300-nemesis-style-mechanical-modAnd this (£11): www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10005773/1604509over on ft, they look identical to me... does anyone have any idea what the difference is? Or any other advice re a good first mech? Obviously these are pretty cheap, so as a first step into the world of mechs - not too scary. In general I prefer to buy from a UK vendor, for speed of delivery and backup, but it's hard to argue with FT prices. Also, to kick, or not to kick? I'm pretty much decided I wouldn't bother with a kick, but in that case is there any way to keep an eye on your battery (any kind of portable tester?)... I don't want to lug my Vamo around just to pop the battery in to check the voltage. I know people say you can tell when the battery is going, but as a mech noob, I'm worried that I will trash my batteries. (my batts are 18350 efest imr 800mah, non-protected) Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer. Cheers, Leo

i would personally go for the hagar one www.vapegeek.co.uk/Hcigar-Nemesis-556.htmim fairly new to vapeing but use a mech mod and you really can tell when the vape drops off if your not going to be running sub ohm a kick is a handy thing to have as it stops you running your batt to empty and it lets you set the power just so you know dont run sub ohm(under 1 ohm ) on 18350,s you will kill the batt i have the 69 clone from fast tech and im impressed with the build quality for such a cheap mod i got a cheap nemmi clone and it was not fun to get it working well or well finished hence the recommendation for the hagar above might be twice as much as the ones your looking at but worth it oh and youll end up useing 18650 batts at some point and not mind the extra size because of how much longer they last

I think the DC signal must give a better vape, which is why I was planning to avoid the kick. But they're cheap enough, so maybe I'll get one to play with. Have heard good things about the hcigar... thanks for the link... will have a look at the 69 clone also. Cheers, Leo.

i was the same as i wanted it for work and to keep it small but was going throw 2 to 3 18350,s in a 12 hour shift so by the time you add on carrying spare batts and juice it becomes a bit of a faff the 69 clone in 650 is about 3 mm shorter than the vamo v5 in 350 and the nemi is prob about 15/20 mm shorter than the vamo in 350 and would say not much diff in weight thats with out a kick

I was recommended this www.m-vapes.co.uk/store/p1/M-Vapes_Volt_Meter__Measure_Voltage_Drop.htmlAfter a couple of weeks reassuring myself that the battery was still safe I don't use it so much now but wouldn't be without it.

I have one of these as well and they do seem to be quite accurate.
