Hi Chrissie, The board seems to be running very slow today... just got a "internal server error" after posting a message.... Are there Gremlins in the works today? I have a 30mb fiber connection and my other 2 PC's are running fine so I don't think its my connection. Also since you put the location map at the top of the page it makes the pages load slower, not too much of a problem for me but others may have slower connections. PM'd as well

Hi Des, got your PM but I'll just reply here rather than repeating myself I'm not having any problems at all with the boards loading today & just checked on Proboard support & no issues have been reported there either. So I can't work out what the problem could be unless it's browser related? I do agree that the map at the top of the Members board does slow that board down a bit, so more than happy to get rid of it if people prefer? (((Netty))) that doesn't sound right at all What exactly happens? Does the page just hang & not load?

Been slow for me lately...specially logging in. Also, that map is a real pain when I'm on the laptop, but not too bad on this PC. Not that I'm moaning or anything

The forum's running well for me and the map makes no difference to the loading time. I do have a fast connection however.

Had quite a few occasions when the page takes 10-15 secs load due to waiting for server. And a couple of time outs. That map takes eons to load on the phone over 3g but as it impedes Jason I say we leave well alone

I had similar probs a couple of days ago, but I thought it was congestion on my end. Fine today.

I've had problems all week with the forum, pages taking forever to load or just freezing . . . it's been the same with whatever browser I've tried using as well.

First of all, could I ask you all to delete your cache etc Over the last week, Proboards servers have had a few issues. Plus we had a problem with very slow loading when the host that Steve uses for our AAE-C tickers went down. That problem (thank you Steve ) has now been resolved. Another thing that will really slow this & any forum down, is folks posting massive pics. Even though I've added a resize code, the browsers still read the original photo size link before the code kicks in. Same with the code I've used to reduce over sized avatars. It really would be a big help if all of you could reduce the size of your pics before posting them & avatars before adding them to your profiles If any of you need help doing so, just shout I can re-code to a certain extent to stop all over sized images being posted at all, but so don't want to do that
