Vapers tongue.

have been vaping now for about 16months, about 2 months in i got vapers tongue for about 2 weeks. I have had the odd episode since, none lasting no more than a day or so, today I had 4 devices on the go 1 vtr containing jack the ripple, 1vtr with afrodizziac, 1 stingray with red astaire and a nemises with strong peppermint, all homemade mixed at15 percent 50/50 except the peppermint which is mixed at 20 percent, soall really strong flavours. Couldn't taste bugger all, nothing nil nada? About 20 mins later the flavour was back in all of them at a total loss to explain this, anyone else had this for so short a period?

try switching to inhaling to cheeks instead of straight down throat,when you get the ohno taste

Guys this is serious!

No matter what I do the bloody flavour disappears. Yes I have googled and researched and done absolutely everything suggested to improve flavour! Start a new flavour and it's great for about 5 inhales if I'm lucky. Then it's zilch, nadda NOTHING! Trust me I have tried EVERYTHING but that flavour simply turns into some nondescript mush! Anybody overcome taste familiarity or vapour's tongue? I need to hear from you please!!!

Hit the menthol hard for a few days. Drink tons of water. Rotate flavours as much as possible etc

Thanks but been there and done that. Not doing it for me.

Actually a bit harsh. Menthol helps a tiny bit. But not long before flavourless mush returns!

Just come across some info that I haven't tried before (goodness knows why not). Shake, shake and shake the bottle before use. Sounds like a good idea but strangely never occurred to me. So I'm gonna go shake and see what happens!!!

I still get it now & again....but then I've vaped nothing but homebrew RY4 for best part of 8 years..usually passes after a day or three (and multiple coil changes until I realise no, it's just vaper's tongue again )

Like I said, I've tried everything! Maybe it's psychological but I swear the stuff tastes better now I'm shaking it up!

Vaper's tongue is a myth. All taste is governed by the tasted buds and olefactory system. If they are not working, you wouldn't be able to taste anything.

I have found that as the wick is more used (aged )the less the taste comes through
