Ok people would appreciate some help please?
I am now slowly entering week 8 on this journey. At the start had 3 weeks on some nondescript 24mg nic smoke flavour, changed to some different flavours 18/16mg but then dissatisfied with evo and struggling with sucking up my lungs and sweet horrible taste!.
It was suggested from experienced vapourers to change down to 12mg as 18/16 was a lot! This did not seem to do much apart from vaping more and more.
So I am struggling to find anything I like at present but want to sort out this nic if I can.
I have now thanks to you guys moved onto itaste vv and mini pro 2 as well as pro2 but forgot to order air flow controller! Huge improvement can't go back, tried and failed.
So where too from here?
a) Have I come down to quick (was 20+ a day for many years) go back up to 18/16mg? b) Is it just my taste buds have disappeared or are changing? c) Just having a few bad weeks? d) All of the above! e) Panic
Sorry for the tirade but temper rising and would welcome help/suggestions.

I don't see how changing down nic strength is going to help you when using a clearomizer. All it will do is make you want to vape more to keep the nic levels up. I use 18mg and have done from the start, and only use 11mg when I am using a dripper atty which gives a stronger vape. I probably wont be much help with the flavours, as I vape mainly fruit and dessert flavors that I mix in with Virginia to make it sweeter, and it sounds like your not keen on sweet flavours. Taste does change and maybe a visit to a vape shop to try out their flavours for free one Saturday, will help you to find something that you like. Other than that, a batch of small samples may help to find something. I will try to find a link where you can get small samples to try.

try inhaleing to cheeks instead of straight in gob lol as for juice change thats a good start mixing a few about, what can any one recommend well thats down to trial and error i am afraid,i was staunch tobac flavour[GV] then heard everyone rave about Capellas Vanilla Custard, decided sod it give it a try but felt wrong ,well that soon went out windows loved it! then again some didnt , Red Astair i hate menthol, though hmmm give it a bash easily pass it on,now mixed 200ml of the stuff, but switch between Vanilla Custard,Virgina,Banana Custard, jack the Ripple, basic will come to what you find appeasing dont be afraid to try, hence why dripping comes very handy ,you dont use a lot if you find you hate it trade/sell it,in Classifieds
As for Nic,well i hit 18months knocked it down from 36 to 24 to 18 to 11,for a while i have been struggling vaping away like a chimney[ stress life dont help] so upped Nic back to 18 for a while,so basic keep a high one handy incase you feel to need it,other point you looking to entirely quit with Ecg or just change to better way,i have option 2,i cannot see me ditching ecigs,i may do in another yr or 2 maybe 4 i just dunno, and know one can answer that problem except you
Also with ecigs do not think well everyone raves on that that it will suit you or you must have it or shinytits will bite ,will say if you want to up to level of better and experiment look into variable with variable watts[kills 2 birds with one stone] can never see point of just variable VV personally

I must say I didn't move anywhere away from 24mg juice for months! Until I was fairly sure I'd got to grips with vaping, definitely. At this point you are still dealing with the swapping/quitting smoking so don't go worrying about nicotine levels Right now you need to work out what flavours and pg/vg mix and nicotine strength satisfies you

Hi firewall... I'd say D. No idea why experienced vapers would advise you to cut your nic down so early. It's very hard to reduce nic levels if you don't mix yourself as shop bought liquids drop quite dramatically from 18/16 to 12. You will also find your tastebuds are all over the place as they slowly come back to life after smoking. Also you could be suffering from the dreaded vapers tongue, where you can't taste any of your e-juices properly. Do you have a menthol type juice you could try? Many new vapers balk at the thought of menthol, but it really does help to give your tastebuds a kickstart. And finally, don't panic... we'll help get you through this and being a happy vaper

Personally only worry about nic levels when you get into rebuildables such as Drippers/Kayfun/Genesis etc
Using protanks and such like do taste a whole lot better than the ce4/5 clearo`s but they dont hit hard enough
I got into drippers somewhere around month 3 of quitting the stinkies and had to cut my nic level down rapidly as the head rushes made me feel quite sick
Also take a look at mixing your own juices as previously mentioned, youll never have the problem of taste or nic strength again as you make it to your specification
and seriously, DONT PANIC

Calm the nic demand before moving down a level. The guys who advised have been vaping for quite a while and thought I was way to high hence the change. I think your right regarding trying to sort out flavours if I can will sort out pg/vg another day. I think I will go back to 18mg for now and suck and see how I go. Thank you.

I have 3 different menthols things one brings tears to my eyes so not my favourite and I have been adding in some drops to bring some things to some sort of life!

Even now, 8 months in - and I generally make my own coils - I still have 18mg e-juice in cupboard when I generally vape at 10mg. I'm taking no chances!! at 10mg I happily chain vape my head off at home but if I'm out and about all day and know i'll be limited in vape time - I have higher strength to hand. I'm not saying its the worst thing in world to have a smoke? - but I don't plan to and don't want to so I keep stronger nicotine e-liquid for if I'm having problems and may waver. I was a 20-30 a day smoker and I've just spent 4 hours spring cleaning without thinking about stopping to smoke or vape the entire time - I can only assume that i'm far less addicted to nicotine that I used to be? I think you get to where you want to be in time and theres no point forcing it I used to be a dreadful addict! You too will get your nicotine lowered in time but its not a race enjoy vaping and just see how it goes I'm sure you will get to grips and comfortably lower nic. strength to suit

@highjack I should have mentioned I have been into a few B & M places but the first question is what do you like? I have not found anything that I like yet! Next question will be what do you normally like, I like curry, thai food, wine, beer. Then the person looks as if he/she would like to kill me! So next I sample 5/6 completely random things to puff by number 3 I have lost all taste of what any of them are like. So I buy a bottle and leave. I have some weird stuff in my desk at work none of which I like!
