two puffs on a fag

I had two puffs on a fag a couple of days ago. Needless to say it was disgusting, and i felt awful afterwards , i don't know how i managed
to do that several times a day . I was sitting at the beach with some friends and everyone was smoking and it was making me feel edgy , so the thought occured to me that if i really thought i was missing out on something i should just try it and see for myself. Well i did . I have tried cigarrettes before after a period abstinence , using snus or e-cigs  and i remember them tasting absolutely foul. Well it was similar this time, pretty disgusting , but not quite as disgusting as i remembered . I only had two pufss and decided that was quite enough for me . The aftertaste it left my mouth was terrible , and i felt it hit my chest instantly. I felt quite ill afterwards , and even now two day later i am still feeling a little bit not quite right. It must just be i am sensitive to them after not having smoked for just over three months . I have no desire to go back to them again, not that two puffs seems like much of a relapse. I suppose maybe in another few months i may have to remind myself again how awful they are , but that won't be the end of the world , a couple of puffs every few months is probably not that bad . I hope i can just get on with my life instead though

I sometimes have the odd one when I'm at work and someone offers me one just to remind myself how awful they are. Couple off and it brings it back and leaves me wondering why I did it for so long and I chuck it away. Yakk

I had a few puffs on New Years eve, exactly (unsurprisingly) one year after my last 1/4 of a cigarette.

It tasted worse this year than last. I'm happy about that....

Just over 2 years clean of the stinkies for me. The smell off them is so off putting that I couldn't ever want to try one again, even if I was stuck for a vape.

I thought I wanted one over the weekend, but thankfully one part of my brain over-ruled the other part. I'm guessing we'll all do it some point, but at least if we only try it and think GOOD GOD THATS AWFUL and return to vaping thats OK ?

Completely different for me. I had a roll up as I was stuck, and it was great. Haven't felt the need to do it again but.

Nearly, with the weekend i was having. I went for a pint last night and was fine on my vape. Back home and oh puffing away, the smoke gets to me quite nastily as it wafts over from the little table between the two of us yuk...!!! but after she went to bed i was cleaning up here baccy tin / ashtray etc and was Soooooooo tempted to just roll one for myself.
but like wibble i kept control and put it all away. So close though, so close.

Friday walking along and someone blew out a big stream of smoke, i've been 5 years no fags and find smell disgusting, but i said out loud ohh yes, must have been embassy that i used to smoke, tempted yes, did i no, not going back down that route at £9 a packet

I have a feeling this would be the same for me... been over a year without a drag though. The fact I think I might enjoy it makes me want to do it less. Never did like the taste of ready made cigs but rollies are a different kettle of fish. I might enjoy the taste again but reckon it would make me cough a lot to say the least

I haven't touched a rollie in 11  months, had a puff of my brothers cig about two weeks ago, couldn't give it back to him quick enough. I still like the smell, but couldn't go back to the stinkies. I tasted horrible.Made me wonder how I smoked for 40+ years.

£9 a pack? The smell of people who smoke is nauseating to me now. As for the cost WOW! Glad I packed in last year. No way could I imagine having another ciggy/rollie now.

I do still having cravings for them though, for some reason, even though the thought of smoking one makes me feel ill. I suppose they are just insanely addictive

Unfortunately after a morning of frustration, with my temperamental SVD, I chose to buy 10 fags rather than throw the bloody thing at the wall! Have managed to get it working again today, but how long for is debatable, so rather than have to resort to smoking the stinkies, (if it happens again), I have decided there is only one course of action to take and that is to buy another bit of kit as a back up . Now which shiny to buy next
