Don't know anything about DIY e-liquids, but what do I get if I buy a 10ml bottle of 50/50 e-juice at 24mg nic strength, then add 10ml pure VG to it. I mean what would the PG/VG be and what would the nic strength be, thanks

Hi kevin21 you would get: 20ml of 12mg/ml nic strength with PG/VG ratio of 25/75. It's flavour would also be significantly reduced.

You'll get . . . 12mg 20ml 25% PG 75% VG Though you'll have diluted your flavour considerably kevin21. Snap Dave Postmodern Smoking. I did it right though.

Many thanks guys, so lets just say I did that to a commercially available e-juice and I have my ...
12mg 20ml 25% PG 75% VG
and lets say that the commercial e-juice sells that exact same mix 12mg 20ml 25% PG 75% VG
would mine and his taste the same, because if they do I see buying higher nic strength commercial e-liquids and cutting it down to your preferred nic strength as a good way of saving money, I mean VG is cheap to buy ?

No they wouldn't because you effectively have halved the amount of flavouring in yours. So unless it's something you find way too strong flavourwise, you're likely to end up with something a little bland

One last question before I leave you be, where is the best place to get recipes, or as close as dammit recipes for commercial e-liquids that people have concocted themselves, cheers!

Hi kevin21, There's nothing stopping you from boosting the flavour by finding/buying a concentrate and adding some to the brew. I bought some 24mg grape (cheapo ) and added orange tic-tac to it. It's gone from *meh!* to very moorish. That's part of the fun of mixing your own, varying the different flavours and ratios. ALWAYS keep notes, as there's nothing more frustrating than producing something really lush and then being unable to reproduce it. There's tons of help and advice (along with some nifty calculators to help you 'get it right') on the mixology sub-forum. Enjoy! (God, I *hate* people who say that...)

Most mixers will tell you that homebrew tastes a lot better than most commercial liquids You will find more recipes than you'll know what to do with here!

yes that's what I intend to do now start mixing my own juices properly, I've only been vaping around 5 months , sorting out my vaping gear was easy, building coils was relatively easy, but finding e-juices that I really like has been as hard as hell, about 2 juices is what I've found in the last five months and trust me I've spent a fortune. Thanks all for the advice, I will be back taxing your brains when I get a mixing kit and a few concentrates later this month, cheers fred thanks for that link, you're right, helluva lot of recipes in there
