Dismayed to find that I had to stick magnets to my batteries.
Followed instructions and it doesn't fire.
Suggestions please in very easy to follow terms as I am a complete tech numpty.

I checked the batteries before fixing the magnet to them. Both showed 4.2v.
After the magnet was attached the battery charger does not recognise that they are there.
The magnets have an 'x' marked on one side to indicate which way it should be fixed.
What would happen if the wrong side was marked?

You would be better of PM'ing the maker as they are new to most and i don't think you will get the best answer.

However the batteries are marked, you want the two batteries to be opposing each other in a magnetic switch.

From what I have seen the magnet is what holds switch off the battery ( repels switch like when in nemisis), if you put on wrong way it would constantly fire.

I'm not sure why you would be dismayed to find you have to stick the magnets to the battery, I asked everyone to watch my video, I assume you did? If the charger does not recognise them I would suggest you have put so much loctite or whatever you used on that you have formed a barrier between the magnet and the battery. Clean it all off and just put the tiniest amount in the centre of the baqttery and try again. Every Gizmo has been assembled with a tank and battery and fired before it is shipped.

I've already put it on the classifieds. I know several members were disappointed to miss the chance to have one. I'm happy to let one of them save a few quid and get 2 batteries with magnets glued to them. No complaint about the Gizmo. It's beautiful. I just didn't do enough research before buying.
