So I have a kayfun mini clone which I just can't get working properly! I've tried almost everything but can only get a handful of vapes before the dreaded burnt taste kicks in! I just don't get what's wrong with this thing! Now I have my sigelei 30w I'd really like to get a kayfun lite but I can't be arsed with this happening again! I'm wondering if the small deck on the mini means the build has to be absolutely perfect for it to work properly! I'm at the point of either selling it or only using it in drip mode! Does anyone own and use the mini?

The original version was known for being a touch fickle, yes it needs to be setup carefully. The larger brothers are easier to get running well. The mini is well worth the extra hassle though.

Should have added, 30w is a bit ott for any kayfun, they just don't wick fast enough.

Should have added, 30w is a bit ott for any kayfun, they just don't wick fast enough. Lol, I'm not running at 30w, I can get my micro coiled aerotank happily vaping at 16w but I can't even get the mini above 10w with a similar ohm coil

i have mini and 3.1. mini was my first expensive atty and in my opinion is better than the 3.1 for flavour.like everyone tells you with kayfuns minimum wick is essential. too much and it sucks. persever bro its werll worth it and once you master it you can recoil and wick in minutes. good luck buddy.

Are people bending the cotton wick 90 degrees down from the coil so the ends touch the deck?

csmith10 sorry, from what is said here my advice about trying the KFL wicking method that quite a few use, may not have been the thing to do for the mini Works great for KFL but sounds like you need less cotton in the mini.

I did try that method but it was an instant fail lol, I think the bigger deck of the KFL suits that build much better
