Lil bit of fine grain wet and dry sandpaper wrapped around something should get it off or a fine nail file bent to fit.

@johanino try some alcohol to clean it, i use isopropyl alcohol for all cleaning when it comes to contacts.

I have it on good authority that a 3 day simmer in rice should cure all! Isn't that right CaptainChaos ? ....

Yes indeedy, daglThat's what I was told on an issue I had that I thought was terminal. Everything upside down in uncooked rice overnight. Life was regained & works as new now. It MUST work for everything, surely!

I have the panasonics and red AW's in mine no bother. I have some sony vtcv4 thingies and they won't fit, they're about 2mm too long. Black AW's are too long as well.

Mine works with red or purple efests button top or flat top. The reds is what came supplied from myepack, they were the ones that were listed to buy on the VTR page when I ordered mine. You can use some vodka to clean contacts or some brasso/metal cleaner on a cotton bud.

after cleaning contacts put some vaseline on cleaned contacts using a cotton but to prevent crud in the future it stops copper from going green and rotting

Ok.....panasonics are working (ordered from ecolux on ebay ) but cleaning this crud on the spring....Cotton bud only just gets down there and then it doesn't put any pressure on Recommendations (cheap) 1) alcohol (don't drink so this is not easy) 2) Brasso 3) lemon juice and vinegar 4) electrical contact cleaner (halfords)? - my idea
