I mentioned in one of the focal threads I wasn't massively impressed with the new display on the vamo v5 in particular the puff counter. I wanted to know how this could be reset, I thought the answer may be letting it cycle round 998, 999, 000. Not the ideal way.
Anyways reading something else about vamos to check the firmware you need to press and hold the fire button unscrew the battery cap and then screw it back on, this should display the firmware. On my new type display v5 it doesn't, it resets the vamo to out of the box settings including the puff counter.
So to anybody wondering how to do a puff count reset, well it worked for me, I stumbled upon it by accident but try it. Probably totally useless to most but if the counter is there I want to know these things. Be aware though it appears other settings will be lost aswell but they're quick and easy to set.

Q I've just checked mine doing what you say and mine will reset if I actually change the battery for a different one. But if I were to unscrew the battery cap remove the battery then reinsert the same battery the puff counter doesn't reset, strange ? Some people can get two days plus from a 3400mah battery and might want to check puffs taken at the end of each day, not me personally but some might. The method in the op should let them reset it without having to change a battery that is perhaps not even half depleted. It would have driven me mad having a function I maybe wouldn't use but had no control over lol.

How do you get to the puff counter? I have firmware 3.1 I think and have never seen one.
