I've been a fan of Snake Oil for some time and like most fans I can taste subtle traces of aniseed, menthol & citrus plus all kinds of extras my taste buds can't quite identify. Way too advanced for my basic mixing skills to reproduce. Last night however, after enjoying some LT Ecigs Menthol (mixed at 15%), I decided to refill my clearo with some Capella Sweet Strawberry (mixed at 20%). I couldn't be bothered to clean the clearo between uses. Low and behold, the end result tasted pretty much like Snake Oil with all it's subtle hints of exotic extras. It wasn't a measured mix but I'm guessing 95% sweet strawberry and 5% menthol would be about right. I suspect very small amounts of aniseed and lemon would help get even closer to the original. Alternatively maybe my taste buds were just screwed-up last night

Didge - that is how things are created, quite often by pure chance, so keep at it & add bits & pieces until you think "YES!!" and jump around a lot shouting happily

That's why it pays to be lazy & not clean between eliquids, just vape through. Mind you, it does make it a tad hard to reproduce the mix, but does give ideas.

I'll tag our lairey and ask her if she would be kind enough to make a Romcard for it - have found a picture that may be ok for Bab's Snake Oil Brew.

Just tried a few drops in a dripper after one week and it's ok but not ready yet a bit more creamy for some reason I think the fruits need a bit longer to come through more. I'll try it again in few days and up the fruits a bit if it's still not there.

babs When Snake Oil is young (say a week or so old) the citrus fruits / Anise is quite profound - as it steeps (and steep it must) the rounder body comes to the fore.

Thanks Tom think I'll try a little more fruits this afternoon then. The fruits I have used are the same with pear added but the one we tried was 6 months old and maybe I didn't clean the dripper enough as there is nothing creamy in it. Think I'll soak the dripper 1st thinking about it. Got to go food shopping this morning so will leave the drippers soaking while I do.

Ah tried again with cleaned dripper it's not creamy now. Can taste the fruits and menthol and anise. Still needs a bit longer to steep I think but it's quite pleasant already.

Thanks lairey needs a couple of weeks to steep really I made it a week ago and keep dripping it gets better every day. Thanks for the bamboo too I'm trying it in one of my protank minis it's a perfect size and so easy to use. It seems to have a bit better flavour than the cottonwool.
