So double up the same samples but send to two people to eliminate ( well balance out ) any taste bias from the lucky testers ?

That's what I was thinking @purple1234, working on the principle that 2 sets of taste buds could be better than one.

Yep fair enough mate, as an example though. if you were to send 4 samples and one was for example a GVC lover they would instantly know what it was through taste surely, I'm not singling out GVC it would be the same for most well known custards if the tester was a custard guru 

Im quietly confident ident id be able to distinguish between Heinz and brands tan beans if you were to send me a sample of each and I'd give Heinz 10 out of 10.

PS PLEASE DONT SEND ME ANY BEANS

As GVC is so sporadic to get hold of wouldn't a more standard custard like LT or similar be good to compare whether it was worth paying more for a well know good custard.

Greg you have a point which is why the tasters will be chosen based on some serious GCHQ ( yes lads you popped up in an ecig custard tasting thread ) type analytical tool which will look for keywords 'custard' .

We will choose wisely.
