Morning Perpetua, I mixed up my first ever batch of your custards love child recipie a week ago and am just wondering when it will be ok to test to see if I will like. I know it is recommended to steep for some time but I am trying to mix up some stock of flavours I like that can be steeping in the background! as you know I am terrible at steeping! It is currently a dark burnt orange colour?

I would leave it a minimum of 3 weeks if it was me, custard is like wine, the longer you leave it the nicer it gets Just make another batch soon, that way it will be ready when your first batch is finished, so you wont be waiting for it lol

I can only echo the gents Mrsmac . . . I use Custardy Lovechild after about 3 months steeping, lovely it is then for me. I'd give it at least 4 weeks if you'd like to taste it properly. Then it's worth the wait, better than being disappointed.
